YWCA Jamestown, a leader in advancing equity and inclusion in Chautauqua County, is delighted to introduce Britney McClain as their newest Mission and Impact Coordinator.

With a strong background in community organizing, McClain brings passion and dedication to social justice and race equity to the team.

As the Mission and Impact Coordinator, Britney McClain will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization to continue to ensure the mission of eliminating racism and empowering women is embedded in every program, as well as in every interaction with every employee and community member. She will also lead the I.D.E.A. Coalition of Chautauqua County, supporting local organizations and businesses with understanding on how to best serve all members of the community.

McClain is native to Western New York and is proud to call Jamestown her home. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Buffalo and her graduate studies at Buffalo State University in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management.

The organization provides programs that address the intersection of racism and women’s empowerment including daycare and school age childcare, transitional housing for homeless women, reproductive health education for adolescents, social justice education, supervised visitation, female youth empowerment classes, and much more.
