Brocton names top October students
Students of the month have been announced by Brocton Central School for October.
Michael DiLorenzo was selected by the Brocton Middle School faculty and staff.
He is currently a seventh-grader and resides in Brocton with his parents Mike and Nina DiLorenzo.
Michael participates in baseball and basketball. He is also a member of the Brocton Middle School band.
His accomplishments include being named to the Honor Roll.
His favorite subject is Social Studies.
In his free time, Michael is a Student Coach for the Westfield Goldenhawks football team. He enjoys playing video games, spending time with friends and family, watching movies, rollerblading, playing chess and swimming.
He plans to become a police officer in the future.
Xoey Karlstrom was selected by the Brocton High School faculty and staff.
She is a sophomore from Portland and is the daughter of Lynda Karlstrom and Chuck Karlstrom.
Xoey is a member of Art Club. She is also a junior member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She participates in the Church of the Nazarene youth group in Jamestown.
Outside of school, Xoey makes animations and draws. She enjoys practicing her instruments and skateboarding.
Her favorite subjects are Global Studies, English and Art.
In the future, she plans to be an auto body worker.
