DAR visits White Inn

With light breezes and threatening rain, the Benjamin Prescott Chapter DAR arrived at the White Inn on Main Street in Fredonia. The White Inn was built in 1868 as a private home by Devillo White, son of Squire White, a licensed physician who came to Fredonia in 1809. In 1899 a descendent of this same White family, Isabelle White was a founding member of the Benjamin Prescott Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was one of 16 women that came together in Fredonia to promote the objectives of the Society, with a great interest in responsibility to our country and particularly our community. The group was especially happy to see the old place in such beautiful condition in our community, serving the community once again. “Our luncheon was wonderful,” the noted. “The food was more than great, the service impeccable and the staff was friendly and professional. We are so happy to have this resource in our community, and we will be back for more. Pictured are members of the Benjamin Prescott Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution.
