Prince family holds 118th annual reunion

The 118th Annual Prince Family reunion took place on Aug. 2. Descendants of Job Prince, 1751/2 and Rhoda Kibbe, 1770-1827, were hosted by Sandy and Kevin Geisling at their home. Approximately 50 people attended. Job and Rhoda had 10 children. Nine of the 10 children spent at least some time in WNY. Son Jonathan married twice, and had a total of twenty children. Of those twenty children, nineteen lived to adulthood. Eighteen married and had families. Many descendants still live in the area.

A cleanup date of Aug. 30, for the Milks Cemetery, in Persia, was set up. Anyone wishing to help please arrive about noon on August 30. Please bring gloves, rakes, chainsaws, etc. Water and garbage bags will be provided.

Removal of the large tree in the cemetery was also discussed. If anyone knows any Amish who would remove the tree, please contact Annette at 716-560-3955.

Funds were raised to offset the removal of the tree and to obtain the services for underground penetrating radar to locate buried headstones. Depending on how much the removal costs, the group is about one-third of the way toward raising the money for the UPR.

Kevin and Sandy graciously offered to host the reunion for next year. The date is August 8, 2026.

For anyone wanting more information, or to be added to the reunion mailing list, please contact Annette at 716-560-3955, voice or text, or email at PrinceReunion2013@gmail.com.

Starting at $3.50/week.
