On Aug. 3, descendants of Jesse and Lona Rater celebrated 100 years of gatherings with a reunion at the Mayville park. Jesse was born in 1882 and Lona was also. They had a son, Lee and 7 daughters, Gertie, Mabel, Mary, Velma, Bernice, Gladys, and Nora.

The reunion was attended by 35 people. Games were played, jokes read, children received gifts and a large delicious tureen dinner was enjoyed by all.

Highlights of the day were an auction with lots of hassling and laughs and also dozens of old pictures of relatives were viewed and good times.
