Horseshoes, recognitions fill reunion

The 69th Pagano Family Reunion at Willow Creek Winery.
The 69th Pagano Family Reunion was held on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Willow Creek Winery with 82 people in attendance.
Seventy-four adults and eight children enjoyed a relaxing and fun day with family and friends. It was a sunny, warm and comfortable day with many new faces in attendance this year. There were theme basket raffles, white elephant raffles, and a big 50/25/25 raffle. The Caine Family kept the kids busy with games and prizes.
A catered meal was provided by Sunset Bay Restaurant. The competitive horseshoe tournament, organized by Michael T. Pagano, saw a new champion team of Jamie Pagano and Tony Tedesco.
Recognition and prizes were given out to various attendees. Frank Pagano and Suzanne Schaff were recognized for the first reservation, while Charles Ricotta was recognized for the second. Joe Bifaro was the oldest male in attendance. The oldest female in attendance was Suzanne Schaff. The youngest boy at the reunion was Jaiden Restivo, while the youngest girl was Sophia Tedesco. The relative who traveled the farthest was Tammy Bifaro, 935 miles from Nebraska.
Sadly, the group acknowledged the passing of several family members over the past year, including Thomas Tedesco, Ruth Dolce, Guido Monacelli, Patricia Ardillo and Brandon Dolce.
On a happy note, the group acknowledged the recent wedding of Noah and Melina Restivo (son and daughter-in-law of Michael and Jennifer Pagano).
Of special note was all the work and preparation that Joe and Kathy Dolce and their daughter Lauren did in advance of the event. Their absence was felt at the reunion, but understood, in the wake of the sudden loss of their son. Prayers were given for their family. Thank you to all those who provided assistance at the reunion.
All attendees enjoyed a wonderful time together, treasuring the moments spent with family from near and far.
Next year will be the celebration of 70 years! The 70th Pagano Family Reunion will be held on Saturday, July 25.
