CLCS announces top October students

Chautauqua Lake Central School District is proud to recognize its Students of the Month for October, honoring exemplary young people in grades seven to 12 whose character, work ethic, and engagement enrich the school community. — Seventh-grader Tripp Bensink stands out for his active participation, positive attitude, and consistent preparation in every class. Teachers describe him as enthusiastic, respectful, and kind, noting that he brings energy and thoughtful leadership to his peers. Tripp especially enjoys gym class because he finds it fun and competitive, and he is an avid athlete who participates in football, baseball, and basketball. — In eighth grade, Chester Machemer is recognized for his initiative, strong work ethic, and dependable teamwork. Always willing to go above and beyond expectations, he works well with others and approaches each day ready to learn. Chester also volunteers as an announcer for youth football games, showcasing impressive public speaking skills. Outside the classroom, he enjoys wrestling, hunting, fishing, and exploring his favorite subject — math — because he likes solving problems. — Ninth-grader William Phelps brings curiosity, kindness, and enthusiasm to his classes, contributing thoughtfully to discussions and often connecting current events to the topics being studied. Teachers note his positive presence and willingness to support his classmates. William participates in football and music at CLCS and consistently approaches new challenges with confidence and determination. — Tenth-grade honoree Raelynn Emery is commended for her strong initiative, preparation, and dedication to her studies. Her resilience, resourcefulness, and adventurous spirit are evident in the way she approaches hands-on projects and class activities. Raelynn tackles each task with determination and a genuine eagerness to learn. — Junior Riley Lindstrom is celebrated for her motivation, kindness, and meticulous approach to learning. She encourages others, brings a positive and inclusive attitude to the classroom, and consistently arrives prepared. Riley especially enjoys Civil Engineering and Architecture (CEA), where she loves designing and creating new things. Outside of school, she expresses her creativity through crafts, often making and sharing her creations with others. — Senior Jacob Gilmore is recognized for his leadership, enthusiasm, and forward-thinking focus. He actively participates in class and motivates his peers while also engaging fully in school events and senior activities. Jacob enjoys Advanced Principles of Engineering, where he builds robots and brings ideas to life alongside classmates. His interests extend to snowboarding, track, playing the drums, and exploring music, all of which reflect his energetic and well-rounded nature. Chautauqua Lake Central School congratulates these outstanding students for their accomplishments and thanks them for their continued contributions to the school community.
