CLCS announces January Students of the Month

Chautauqua Lake Central School is proud to recognize its January-February Students of the Month for grades 7 through 12, honoring six students who demonstrate strong character, dedication, and a commitment to excellence both in and out of the classroom.

Representing seventh grade is Emma Rowe, an eager and energetic student who embraces every learning opportunity with enthusiasm. Her strong work ethic and proactive approach allow her to consistently exceed expectations.

Eighth grade honoree Maryiam “Mimi” Abuhmeidan is recognized for her positive attitude and determination. With perfect attendance and consistently timely work, she stands out as a hardworking student who is kind, responsible, and committed to her learning.

Leah Hamby, representing ninth grade, is a well-rounded student who balances academics, athletics, and music. She is an active participant in class and is known for being respectful, personable, and dependable.

Sophomore Greyson Wellman is celebrated for his positive attitude and sense of humor. Known for his kindness and daily gestures of respect, Greyson helps create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment.

For eleventh grade, Thandon Bensink is recognized for his discipline, motivation, and leadership. He excels in both academics and athletics, participating in football and wrestling while maintaining a high level of performance. Thandon especially enjoys hands-on learning in physics and credits his teachers and school experiences with helping him grow and expand his goals for the future.

Senior Michael Horvath rounds out this month’s honorees. A dedicated and personable student, Michael excels academically while staying active in soccer, track, and the school musical. He enjoys analyzing literature in English class and, outside of school, participates in community theatre, snowboarding, and other creative pursuits.
