Rotary Club honors Brocton senior
Christian Morello
Christian Morello, a senior, is the Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club Student of the Month representing Brocton Central School.
He is the son of Kim and Adam Morello, and has two sisters and one brother. He is the Vice President of both Brocton’s senior class and its National Honors Society program. Throughout high school, he has regularly achieved high honor roll and his GPA (grade-point average) is ranked among the top 10% of his class.
Morello received a $24,000 annual scholarship offer by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) during his junior year for his academic excellence, and has previously received the Student of the Month award for Brocton once in middle school and once more in high school. He is currently on pace to receive 4 JCC credits for his participation in Global 1500 this school year. He will also graduate with his Regents Diploma with High Honors in June, 2026.
Along with academic achievement, Christian strides for growth with his extra-curricular activities as well. He is an active participant in Brocton’s after school fitness center and is a current member. He also has played varsity basketball for three years, varsity soccer for two years, and varsity track & field merged with Westfield and Chautauqua Lake for two years as well. He was a member of band for 6 years of school too, playing the alto saxophone and baritone saxophone.
Outside of school, he takes interest in a wide variety of activities. He enjoys outside activities including walking, running, and biking. He takes great interest in construction and home renovation, and often finds new opportunities to build and innovate. He also commits 10 hours of community service every year doing things such as pit band for musicals, volunteering for Brocton’s Summer Recreational program, and helping to provide a free Veteran’s Day breakfast
