Documenting ‘Vital Lives’
Darwin R. Barker Library has been serving the community for 145 years. Recently the library received a new book donation, “Vital Lives,” from Megan Smith of Chautauqua Institution. “Vital Lives” offers personal insights into the lives of 100 prominent women. Each entry is concise and accompanied by a photograph or drawing. It is an inspiring book that confirms the personal power and dedication of women from around the world. Pictured from left, Diane Clark presents the book, “Vital Lives” to Elizabeth Padgett, assistant director of Barker Library.
