Brocton Class of 1966 celebrates 60th reunion

Brocton Central School Class of 1966 recently celebrated a three-day reunion with lots of laughter.

On July 17, an informal gathering at a classmate's lakeside home was held with 19 classmates and six guests in attendance. Beautifully displayed charcuterie boards made by a classmate with sandwiches, snacks, fruit, desserts were served. A game of high school trivia was played with prizes won.

On July 18, three delicious reserved dinner choices were served at Shorewood Country Club with 18 classmates, seven guests in attendance. A welcoming, invocation, and a moment of silence was held. A memorial table with candles, flowers, list of 24 deceased classmates was set. Classmate veterans were acknowledged.

Fresh flowers arranged by a couple classmate ladies decorated all the tables. Special BCS decorated cupcakes were served. A scholarship donation in memory of Richard Travis was collected and sent to BCS.

On Sunday, a breakfast gathering at Domus Fare, owned by a younger BCS graduate Dennis Colt, was held with 12 classmates, five guests in attendance.

The group then toasted a classmate and her husband's 57th wedding anniversary who were present.

Some classmates traveled from Maine, Illinois, Minnesota and Virginia. For out-of-state classmates that could not attend, a few sent messages, some with photos, which were shared.
