Area residents receive degrees at JCC

SUNY Jamestown Community College's Ron Shidemantle, vice president of Student Experience, and Traci Langworthy, interim vice president of Academic Affairs, announced that 43 students were awarded degrees or certificates from Jamestown Community College's Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses in summer 2026.

Three of the graduating students earned highest honors for a 4.0 GPA, 19 earned high honors for GPAs ranging from 3.50 to 3.99, and six earned honors for GPAs ranging from 3.25 to 3.49.

Local students included:

-- Cassadaga: Nina Agnant (Certificate: Practical Nursing), Yesenia Balbuena (Certificate: Practical Nursing), Aglae Cezaire (Certificate: Practical Nursing), Claire Andie Jean Paul (Certificate: Practical Nursing – Honors), Mishaida Jeudy (Certificate: Practical Nursing – High Honors), Aubrey Paige (Certificate: Practical Nursing), Jessica Talom (Certificate: Practical Nursing – Honors), Ethaina Tofiga (Certificate: Practical Nursing)

-- Clymer: Margaret Brookover (A.S.: Individual Studies – High Honors)

-- Dunkirk: Keana Szczerbacki (A.S.: Liberal Arts & Sciences: Childhood Education), Ricardo Vazquez (Certificate: Practical Nursing)

-- Fredonia: Alexandros Landis (A.S.: Cybersecurity – High Honors), Brenden Mazany (A.S.: Business-Business Administration – High Honors)
