JCC announces fall 2025 graduates

Dr. Jessica Kubiak, vice president of Academic Affairs, and Ron Shidemantle, vice president for Student Experience, announced that 108 students earned degrees or certificates from the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses of Jamestown Community College in fall 2025. Six students earned highest honors with a 4.0 GPA. Forty-four students earned high honors with GPAs ranging from 3.50 to 3.99, and 14 students earned honors with GPAs between 3.25 and 3.49. ‘Game of REAL Life’ fair planned for April 8

MAYVILLE — Local organizations are teaming up to help teens and young adults prepare for independent living through an interactive community event. The Game of REAL Life Teen Resource Fair will be held Wednesday, April 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the G.A. Family Services Gymnasium, located at 210 Gustavus Ave. in Jamestown. Author’s work on novel only part of the story

I spent the last two months writing a novel for young adults (and all adults). It was an intense process in which I put in eight hours a day either sitting in front of the computer or walking around, pacing the house, or outside in the neighborhood or at the college or the lake. The process involves a whole lot of talking out loud to myself (and my dog).
