Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Gilmour

Michelle R. Poweski and Christopher L. Gilmour were united in marriage on Aug. 12, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Church in West Seneca. The Mass was celebrated by Rev. Daniel Walsh and Rev. Dave Richards. The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Kim Poweski of Fredonia. The groom is the son of Paul and JoAnn Gilmour of West Seneca.

Escorted by her father, the bride looked stunning in an elegant strapless sweetheart embellished lace gown with pearl earrings, bracelet and necklace. The bride carried a bouquet of ivory roses.

Laura Poweski was maid of honor for her sister. The girls wore beautiful ice blue dresses in an assortment of styles. Bridesmaids were Melissa Wallace, Kaitlin Wallace, Kristen Wallace, cousins of the bride, Kelly Gasior, sister of the groom, along with friend of the bride, Emily Woodard. Junior bridesmaid was Morgan Gasior, niece of the groom. The wedding also included two flower girls, Peyton and Harper Wallace, cousins of the bride.

Nick Sobzcyk and Michael Zulawaski were co-best men for the groom. Groomsmen were Christopher Snow, Brian Lasher, Scott Walesky, friends of the groom, along with Greg Gasior, brother-in-law of the groom. The ring bearer was Griffin Gasior, nephew of the groom. The groom and his groomsmen wore navy blue tuxedos with ice blue ties.

The bride is a graduate of Fredonia High School and a graduate of Slippery Rock University. She is employed by Dunkirk City School District as a physical education teacher and varsity softball coach. The groom attended St. Francis High School and SUNY Oswego. He is currently employed by National Fuel.

The happy couple honeymooned in Mexico following the wedding. They made their home in Hamburg, New York.
