Ashley M. Waters & Robert J. Halas, Jr. said “I do!” on August 25, 2018 at Rotunda Grapevine Railroad Farm in Fredonia.

The bride is the daughter of Donald Waters of West Seneca and Dawn Pawlak of Dunkirk. She is the granddaughter of Bruno and Loretta DelSorbo of Irving and Ed and Marilyn Wise of Fredonia.

The groom is the son of Robert Halas, Sr. of Dunkirk and Sharon Halas of Fredonia. He is the grandson of Richard and Mary Gehling of Fredonia, Rosemary and the late Peter Halas, Jr. of Dunkirk and Bill and Rita Bremer of Florida.

Close friend of the bride and groom, Stefanie Burns, officiated the ceremony. The bride’s witness, was Ashley Karalus of Brocton. The groom’s witness, was Stacy Stein of Fredonia. Also participating in the ceremony were the bride and groom’s nieces, Madison Shear and amp; Mackenzie Shear and nephew, Peter Halas.

As tears of happiness filled the bride’s eyes, her brother, Austin Pawlak, who was able to make it home from overseas for this special moment, met the bride & her grandfather to escort her down the aisle together.

The bride wore a sweetheart dress, with a sheer beaded top complimented by a tulle bottom with a slit that ran down allowing her garter to appear. The groom was in a gray vest, black dress shirt, jeans and a purple and yellow tie.

The ceremony, held in front of rustic doors with purple and yellow flowers and a Jack Daniel’s barrel, was a mix of love, tears, a toast and laughter.

The reception, a romantic feel, with centerpieces of decorative whiskey bottles and candles. A wonderful dinner, late night snacks and a beautiful dessert display was made by The Catering Company, where guests could choose from cannoli, cookies, brownies, and more. A Harry Potter themed cake was made as a surprise for the groom by The Cakery. Family and friends celebrated the rest of the evening with the newly married couple with music provided by Kool Toonz Entertainment.

The couple enjoyed a relaxing vacation at home.
