Mr. and Mrs. Shawn P. Pfleuger
Sarah A. Skubis and Shawn P. Pfleuger were united in marriage at an outdoor, double-ring ceremony in the Gazebo at St. Columban’s on the Lake in Sheridan, New York at 2 p.m. on Aug. 18, 2018. Officiant was Lillian Williams, aunt of the groom. A reception followed at the Moose Lodge in Dunkirk.
The bride is the daughter of John Skubis of Dunkirk and Katherine Brinkman of Silver Creek.
The groom is the son of Warren French of Brocton and Helen Pfleuger of Forestville.
Escorted by her father, the bride chose a strapless, full-length gown with a lace applique sweetheart top and a cascade-tiered organza skirt centered by a slim, pearl and bead waistband.
Bouquets carried by the bride and her attendants were a mixture of lillies, daisies and summer flowers surrounded by baby’s breath and a butterfly accent.
Liora Simonian, the maid of honor, wore a tea- length radiant blue dress with layers that complimented the bride’s dress. Bridesmaids Meghan Courtney, Katelyn Kincaid – niece of the bride and Kaylee Pavlovitch – daughter of the bride – wore matching dresses. Alyssa Wagner, also a daughter of the bride, was the flower girl. She carried a basket of flowers and wore a pink and white ankle-length dress with floating roses in the skirt.
Kyle Pfleuger, cousin of the groom, served as the best man. Other groomsmen were Abner Gonzalez, Charles Libby and Tane Galardo – nephew of the groom. Tyler Pfleuger, son of the groom, served as the ring bearer.
The bride graduated from Dunkirk High School in 2000 and is currently employed by Tops Markets in Silver Creek. The groom attended Silver Creek High School and is currently employed by Tick-Tock Towing in Angola.
The couple, who plan to honeymoon at a later date, are at their home in Silver Creek.
