Mr. & Mrs. Justin Smith & Emma Laperruque

Emma Rebecca Laperruque and Justin Stephen Smith exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 2, 2018 at the Stanbury restaurant in Raleigh, North Carolina. Josh Snyder, dear friend of both the bride and groom, performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Scott and Amy Laperruque of Short Hills, New Jersey. Her husband is the son of Mark and Nancy Smith of Mayville, New York.

Bonnie Wertheim and Andrea Nackenson, both dear friends of the bride, were maids of honor.

Best men were Luke Smith, brother of the groom, and Jake Laperruque, brother of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Millburn High School in Short Hills and earned her Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York. She is employed as a food writer and recipe developer at Food52 in New York City (food52.com). Her husband is a graduate of Chautauqua Lake Central School, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and computer science at Hamilton College. He earned his doctoral degree in computer science from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is employed as an assistant professor of computer science at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.

After honeymooning in Lisbon, Portugal and living in Brooklyn, New York, they now live in Maplewood, New Jersey, with their cat, Butter.
