Arlene Rae Erick, daughter of Rayman and Beatrice Erick, and granddaughter of Floyd and Lottie Ross was united in marriage to Robert M. Miller son of Henry and Mae Miller on Oct. 14, 1950.

Maid of honor was Alberta Richter, bridesmaids, Nancy Schifferli and a cousin of the groom, Joyce Bednark. Best man was Richard Schifferli and ushers were Gerald Crowell, Roger Ball.

Karen Erick, the bride’s sister, was the flower girl, and the bride’s brother was ring bearer. Rev. Leon Davis was the officiating pastor.

The newlyweds spent their honeymoon at Gettysburg.

The couple have seven children: Deb Gould, John Miller (deceased), Brett Miller, Kathy Coudrey, Nancy Waterman, Bliss McClain, and Kim Miller.

They have 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Bob is retired from Forestville Central School, and Arlene from Cliffstar.
