Phyllis Korn and Donald Burghardt were married at St. Joseph’s Church, in Buffalo, New York, Feb. 3, 1951 and have just completed 69 years of marriage. They have five children, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. “We were young and some said it would never last, for those who do not believe in God. April fool.”

The quilt of their descendants was designed and created by their daughter Bonnie Matteson.
