On June 9, 1956, Lois Elaine Porter, daughter of Lucille and Ernest Porter, married Henry Allison Scott, Jr., son of Lorena and Henry Scott, Sr. Their wedding was held at the Ivory Baptist Church in Frewsburg.

The Rev. William B. Shroyer officiated the ceremony. Matron of honor was Ethel Scott. Bridesmaids were Carolyn Scott and Delores Olson. Best man was DuWayne Scott. Groomsmen were Milford Porter, Raymond Becker and George Tellinghuisen.

Henry and Lois Scott have two sons: Henry A. Scott III, who lives in Jamestown and Robert E. Scott, who lives in Dunkirk. They have six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In 2011, Henry and Lois moved from Frewsburg to Dunkirk. For the past year, Henry has resided at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk, while Lois lives with their son Robert and his family.
