Joan and Edward Will

Joan Louise Lemmler and Edward Donald Will were united in marriage on a sunny July day in 1970.

The ceremony took place at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Farnham. Officiating the ceremony were the Rev. Donald Anderson, Holy Cross Pastor and the Rev. Kenneth Buckwald, cousin of the groom who was Pastor of the Church of the Beatitudes in Mesa, Arizona.

During the ceremony, the gold wedding bands of the bride’s maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Krull Sr. were exchanged. An heirloom gold bracelet belonging to the bride’s paternal grandmother, Rose Matteson Lemmler, completed the bride’s ensemble.

Parents of the groom are the late Edward and Helen Berner Will. Parents of the bride are the late George T. and Louise Krull Lemmler.

Edward retired in 2000 as Supervisor of Transmission and Distribution/Fredonia area for Niagara Mohawk.

Joan retired from her position as Marketing Officer of Evans Bank in 1995.

Mr. Will passed away in 2015 after a valiant battle with cancer.

The couple would be celebrating 50 years of marriage on July 25, 2020.
