John and Mary Whitehead

Mary Nosky and John Whitehead were married on June 20, 1959 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Cheektowaga.

The ceremony was performed by the bride’s cousin, Father Leo McCarthy.

The maid of honor was Adele Williams, and bridesmaids were Georgia Seidel and Carol Whitehead, the groom’s sister. The best man was Gary Babcock, and the groomsmen were David Campbell and James McDonald.

The couple have two daughters, Deborah Whitehead of Germantown, Maryland and Barbara Thompson of Dunkirk. They also have three grandchildren: Kenna and Shanna Thompson and Ryan Villalobos.

John and Mary live on W. Lake Road in Dunkirk and will celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary this year.
