Graham, Henderson to perform Thursday

MAYVILLE — The Thursday, Aug. 15 performance of the Mayville/Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce’s 2019 Entertainment in the Park Summer Performance Series will feature Randy Graham and Jamie Henderson, both local Chautauqua County performers. These free concert series performances are taking place at a new location this year, the Floating Stage (courtesy of the Chautauqua Lake Pops), located on the lake behind the Mayville Depot in the Village of Mayville (16 Water St., across from the Lakeview Hotel), from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Graham, from Bemus Point, has been performing at this concert series for many years. He uses wireless equipment to wander through the audience playing guitar and singing popular songs, as well as taking requests. Henderson, also from Bemus Point, plays acoustic and electric guitars and performs vocals as well. Graham and Henderson have been performing as a duo for over 15 years and graced out concert stage last year with a wonderful performance.

Rainbow the Clown (Jerry Stimson) will be on hand to entertain the children with face painting and creative balloon sculptures. The Maple Springs Fire Dept. will be at the performance selling BBQ dinners (hamburgers, etc.) as well as other foods to benefit their fire department. The Mayville Fire Department will also be on hand offering popcorn and water on a donation basis to benefit their Fire Department. This is a great opportunity to support two worthwhile organizations. In case of rain, the performance will be held at the Carlson Community Center, located at Lakeside Park on the shores of Chautauqua Lake, a short distance away. These free performances are brought to you through the generous support and sponsorship by the Town of Chautauqua and Village of Mayville.

While seating will be provided, remember to bring your own seating for all of these performances, inside or out, so that adequate seating is available for everyone. A 50/50 drawing will be held at each of the concerts this summer, benefiting the Chamber of Commerce (organizers of this performance series) and its work in the community. Call the Mayville/Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce at 753-3113 for more information on this long-held annual summer performance series or the Mayville-Chautauqua area. Come out Thursday on the shores of beautiful Chautauqua Lake in Mayville for an evening of music, food and fun!
