Aaron A. Davis, 43, of West Fourth Street was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance on April 26.

Edgar J. Sanchez, 18, of East Seventh Street was charged with third-degree robbery on April 26.

Allan R. Barreca, 44, of South Roberts Road was charged with driving while intoxicated on April 27.

A 16-year-old female of Lackawanna was charged with disorderly conduct on April 27.

Zacre T. Jasinski, 22, of East Doughty Street was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, obstruction of a governmental administrator and unlawful possession of marijuana April 29.

Two fugitives from

justice apprehended

ELLERY – On Satur-day, Bryon G. Burchan, 43, of Gladewater, Texas, and Fred L Parker, 43, of Hermi-tage, Pa., were detained by state police from the James-town barracks as felony fugitives from justice.

At about 11:30 a.m. a trooper checked on a disabled dump truck on Interstate 86. The truck was traveling with other commercial vehicles employed by LND Asphalt of Texarkana, Ark. A file check of dump truck driver, Burchan, re-vealed an active felony warrant for larceny out of the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office in Texas. A file check of Parker, another driver, revealed an active felony warrant for robbery out of Mercer County, Pa.

Both men were arraigned in the Ellery Court and remanded to the Chautau-qua County Jail with no bail. Multiple safety violations were observed in the commercial vehicles by members of the New York State Police Commercial Vehicle En-forcement Unit. This resulted in all vehicles being placed out of service at the Ellery Overlook Rest Area.

Fredonia troopers charge two teens

SHERIDAN – On Sunday, troopers charged Michael P. Monroe, 19, and James D. Sidon, 18, both of Warren, Pa., for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Monroe was stopped for reportedly speeding on State Route 20. Troopers report he had about 21 grams of marijuana and two marijuana pipes with residue in his possession. Sidon, the passenger, was reportedly in possession of about 2 grams of marijuana.

Both were issued appearance tickets for the Town of Sheridan Court.

Jamestown woman charged with DWI

On Saturday, state police from Jamestown charged Colleen Harrison, 42, of Jamestown with aggravated driving while intoxicated.

She was pulled over on East 2nd Street for reportedly driving erratically. She reportedly failed several field sobriety tests and was transported to state police barracks in Jamestown. The breath sample she provided was reported to be .22 percent.

Harrison was processed, issued tickets returnable to the City of Jamestown Court and released to a sober individual.

Ripley man charged with criminal mischief

RIPLEY – On Friday, Brandon L. Murphy was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies were called to a residence for a disorderly person. It was alleged that Murphy damaged property that did not belong to him. He was taken into custody without incident.

Murphy was arraigned and bail was set. He was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.

Westfield Police

Alexa E. McMurray, 23, of South Portage Street was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance on April 25. Westfield Police observed McMurray in the front yard area of a South Portage Street residence and were aware she had an outstanding arrest warrant from the Chautauqua County Court. She was arrested on the warrant and sent to Chautauqua County Jail.

Dunkirk man facing drug charges

A Dunkirk man was taken into custody Friday by the NYS Police Fugitive Task Force in the Buffalo area after a secret grand jury warrant was released for his arrest.

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force along with the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office previously presented evidence Aaron A. Davis, 43, of Dunkirk sold quantities of crack cocaine to agents on multiple occasions to a secret grand jury. A warrant was issued for the charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Davis was turned over to Dunkirk Police pending arraignment in county court.

This arrest was made based on information from the public. The STRDTF and Dunkirk Police ask anyone who observes narcotics related activity to call local police or the task force at 1-800-344-8702.

Fredonia resident charged with DWI

On Tuesday at about 2:35 a.m. Fredonia-based State Police troopers charged Colton Farnham, 20, of Fredonia with driving while intoxicated. Troopers report Farnham was stopped on State Route 5 in the Town of Dunkirk for speeding and failure to dim his headlights.

Farnham’s blood alcohol level was reported to be .11 percent. He is to answer charges in the Town of Dunkirk Court on May 13.

Westfield Police

Westfield Police allegedly observed a suspicious male outside a local convenience store on East Main Street Wednesday. Upon further investigation the officers allegedly found Joshua A. Powell, 27, of Mayville, in possession of two hypodermic needles and a controlled substance. Powell was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.

He was arraigned in Westfield Village Court and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail to appear back in court at a later date.

Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office

RANDOLPH – Steph-anie L. Campbell, 35, of Cherry Creek, was charged April 16 with seven counts of petit larceny and second-degree scheme to defraud. She was arraigned in the Cattaraugus County Court and released on her own recognizance.

Campbell will appear in the Randolph Town Court for further proceedings at a later date.

EAST OTTO – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office investigated an incident of larcenies that occurred at a residence on Crumb Hill Road. The owners of the residence experienced theft of money from their residence consistent with days a house cleaner came to clean their house in the months of February and April.

Kylene M. Hellreigel, 28, of Dayton, was charged Friday with three counts of petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. She was issued appearance tickets to appear in East Otto Town Court at a later date.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

ELLINGTON – Chris-topher P. Brown, 41, of Bemus Point, was charged Thursday with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, second-degree obstructing government administration and parking on the highway after a vehicle complaint on Butman Road.

According to the caller, the car was parked in the roadway, running, with no one in the vehicle or around the area. Deputies responded and found Brown slumped over in his vehicle sleeping.

Brown was allegedly intoxicated and physically resisted deputies trying to take him into custody. It was also found his license had been revoked due to previous alcohol related offenses.

Additional charges are pending the results of a chemical blood test.

KIANTONE – Kenneth M. Ruch, 53, of Celoron, was charged April 19 with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher and failure to keep right after a traffic stop on Route 60.

Deputies allegedly saw Ruch’s vehicle swerve into oncoming traffic and had to swerve onto the shoulder of the road to avoid a head-on collision.

He was issued tickets to appear in the Kiantone Town Court at a later date.

A 16-year-old male of Prospect Street was charged with sixth-degree conspiracy on April 17.

Brooke L. Antolini, 31, of Water Street was charged with speed not reasonable and prudent, aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI, failure to stop at a red light, unsafe passing and reckless driving on April 19.

Thomas C. Michalski, 63, of Clinton Avenue was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right on April 19 with a bench warrant.

Dunkirk woman and Brocton man charged with drug violations

ELLICOTT – On Thursday, Ashley Halas, 25, of Dunkirk and Thomas Schrader, 28, of Brocton were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. In addition, Schrader was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Halas was the operation of a car pulled over for a traffic violation. While speaking to her, the trooper reportedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. The trooper searched the vehicle and reportedly located two pipes containing marijuana residue, three grams of hash, three bags of marijuana and a scale. Halas reportedly also had four bags of marijuana in her purse.

After being processed at state police barracks in Jamestown, both Halas and Schrader were released with tickets. They are scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.

Man charged with DWI, unlawful possession

of marijuana

SHERMAN – On Saturday, Michael Mar-cinko, 59, of Sherman was charged with driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marijuana, and illegal parking.

State troopers from Jamestown found Marcinko parked in the southbound driving lane on Kendrick Street near the intersection with Park Street. They reported he failed sobriety tests and was also found to possess a baggie with less than 25 grams of marijuana.

Troopers transported Marcinko to state police barracks in Jamestown where his breath test was reported to be .15 percent. He is to appear in the Town of Sherman Court at a later date.

Five Kenmore teens charged with trespass

PERRYSBURG – On Tuesday, state police from Collins charged Jacob Emler, 19, of Hamilton Boulevard; Travis Ratka, 19, of Enola Avenue; Michael Burgio, 18, of Delaware Avenue; Matthew Ellsworth, 18, of Hampton Parkway and Timothy Kelly, 18, of Rosemont Avenue, all in Kenmore, with trespassing.

Troopers checked the area for a suspicious vehicle and spotted their car parked across from the JN Adam grounds, hidden behind a pile of millings.

Shortly afterward, troopers saw the car leaving and stopped it on Peck Hill Road.

After speaking with the driver and passengers, troopers reportedly learned that all had passed the fence and entered the abandoned grounds.

All five are due in the Town of Perrysburg Court later this month.

State Police at Collins

On Tuesday, Tyler Renaldo of Shirley Road in North Collins was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Troopers stopped his car on State Route 62 in Collins. They reported smelling a strong odor of marijuana from inside the car. The troopers searched the vehicle and reportedly found a nylon case with about 5 grams of marijuana in it and a glass pipe with marijuana in it.

Renaldo is due in the Town of Collins Court later this month.

State Police at Jamestown charge motorists with DWI

CHERRY CREEK – On Friday, Michael Rodgers, 39, of Boutwell Hill in the town of Cherry Creek was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Troopers stopped him on Center Street for a loud exhaust. Rodgers reportedly failed field sobriety tests. He was transported to state police barracks in Jamestown where his breath sample was reported at .12 percent.

He was released with traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Cherry Creek Court on May 2.

ELLICOTT – On Saturday, David Jasczc, 61, of Buffalo Street in Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Troopers stopped him for reportedly moving from his lane unsafely. He reportedly failed field sobriety tests and was transported to state police barracks in Jamestown. His breath sample was reported to be .18 percent.

He was issued traffic tickets and is due to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court on May 1.

POLAND – On Sat-urday, Stanley D. Funcell, 60, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Troopers reported he did not signal when he turned from State Route 394 onto Stone Road. Funcell reportedly failed sobriety tests and was taken to state police barracks in Jamestown. His breath sample was reported to be .15 percent.

He was issued tickets to appear in the Town of Poland Court at a later date.

POLAND – On Sunday, Carole L. Johnson, 47, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Reportedly she did not signal when she turned from Quaint Road onto Falconer-Frewsburg Road.

She reportedly failed sobriety tests and was processed at state police barracks in Jamestown. Her breath sample was reported to be .09 percent.

She was issued tickets to appear in the Town of Poland at a later date.

Bradley S. Halftown, 30, of Brant was charged with disorderly conduct on a previous charge and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on April 9.

Michael A. Carreras, 28, of Irving was charged with displaying a forged inspection sticker and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property on April 9.

Carlos M. Alvarado, 38, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing and resisting arrest on April 13.

A 16-year-old female of Middle Road was charged with second-degree harassment on April 15 on a previous charge.

Christopher M. Harding, 29, of Sinclairville was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation and having improper plates on April 15.

Jessica Goodwin of West Fourth Street was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, having no headlights and no insurance on April 15 on a bench warrant.

Julio Angel Arizmend Jr., 23, of North Beagle Street was charged with resisting arrest on April 15.

Dawn F. Stein of East Lake Road was charged with exposure of person on April 15.

Michael T. Gibson, 34, of Buffalo was charged with fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance on April 16 on a previous charge.

A 16-year-old female of South Roberts Road was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on April 17.

Concetta N. Lewis, 29, of King Street was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child on April 17.

Brett M. Skubis, 18, of Woodrow Avenue was charged with failure to stop at red light and unlawful possession of marijuana on April 17.

Ashley N. Ramirez, 25, of Dayton was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and not wearing a seatbelt on April 9. Police stopped Ramirez on Buffalo Street at 3:25 p.m. for not wearing a seatbelt. It was found her license was suspended for failure to appear. She was released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Collins Court.

Christopher J. Stone, 23, of Chaffee was charged with petit larceny on April 10. Police responded to a local business on Buffalo Street at 8:30 p.m. Stone allegedly tried to leave without paying for a case of beer. Stone produced a receipt for a purchase from earlier in the day when police asked for proof of purchase. He was released on an appearance ticket in the Town of Collins Court. Erie County Sheriff’s Department assisted with this arrest.

John P. Smigiel, 31, of Miller Street was charged with having an unregistered vehicle, expired inspection and aggravated unlicensed operation on April 12. Police observed Smigiel towing a trailer with an expired registration on Erie Avenue at 12:33 p.m. Smigiel’s license was also found to be expired for failure to pay a fine. He was released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Collins Court.

Dakota T. Mack, 26, of Perrysburg was charged with not wearing a seatbelt and unlawful possession of marijuana on April 15. Police stopped Mack on Buffalo Street at 10:33 a.m. for not wearing a seatbelt. He was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was released on an appearance ticket for Town of Collins Court.

Jamestown man arrested for shooting gun

JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man is in custody following reports of shots fired at a local bar. Jamestown Police were called to the Roadhouse Bar, 1250 E. Second St., Jamestown on Wednesday evening for the report of a man with a gun.

Officers determined multiple shots were fired into the east side of the business from the parking lot. Zachiel L. Fields, 34, of Curtis Street allegedly fired eight rounds while in the parking lot before fleeing the area. Officers responded to Fields’ residence and obtained a search warrant. The SWAT team did make entry, Fields was not found in the residence but the police found the weapon believed to be used in the incident.

Police located Fields at 9 a.m. Thursday and took him into custody after he was found hiding in a Utica Street residence. He was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony, and first-degree reckless endangerment. He is currently at the Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment.

Gowanda Police Department

Tia E. Pollard, 34, of Collins was charged with issuing a check with insufficient funds on March 11. Police were notified by a local business that Pollard had purchased items and paid for the items with a personal check. This check was returned to the business for insufficient funds. She was released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Collins Court.

Anthony I. Sanjurjo, 20, of Union Street was taken into custody on March 20 on an arrest warrant. Police were notified of an active warrant for Sanjurjo by the Evans Police Department. Sanjurjo was processed then turned over to Evans Police?

Carl L. Maybee, 29, of Springville was charged with having an open container, harassment, resisting arrest and second-degree obstruction of a governmental administrator on March 24. Police responded to the report of a suspicious person on Jamestown Street walking at 1:15 a.m. Police found Maybee to be staggering and with an open container. Maybee tried to run from police and then became belligerent and aggressive toward police. He was arraigned in the Town of Persia Court and sent to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail.

Matthew R. Sparks, 21, of Route 438 was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and second-degree obstruction of a governmental administrator on March 25. Police observed Sparks acting suspiciously in a parking lot on Buffalo Street at 3:30 a.m. He was found to be in possession of a small amount of crack cocaine and a pipe. When police attempted to arrest Sparks, he broke free twice and fought with an officer, hitting him in the head. Sparks then jumped into Cattaraugus Creek in attempt to flee. He was found 30 minutes later under the Aldrich Street Bridge. He was taken to Lake Shore Hospital by ambulance for hypothermia. Upon release from the hospital, Sparks was arraigned in the Town of Collins Court and released on $3,000 bail. The Erie County Sheriff’s Department, the New York State Police, Gowanda Fire Department and Gowanda Ambulance all assisted.

Seneca L. Mohawk, 35, of Buffalo Street was charged with third-degree falsely reporting an incident on April 5. Mohawk had come to Gowanda Police saying another subject had assaulted him previously. Police investigated the matter and determined Mohawk had falsely made these allegations against the subject. He was released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Collins Court.

Dustin C. Longboat, 17, of Buffalo was taken into custody on an arrest warrant on April 5. Police had previously arrested Longboat for a domestic incident and when he failed to appear, an arrest warrant was issued. The Erie County Sheriff’s Department held Longboat at the Erie County Holding Center on an unrelated charge. Upon being released, he was taken into custody by Gowanda Police. He was arraigned in the Town of Persia Court and sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.

Quintin P. Jones, 34, of Aldrich Street was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child on April 6. Patrol responded to the report of a violent domestic incident at 5:45 a.m. on Aldrich Street. Jones was allegedly arguing with a female and grabbed her by the throat and pushed her. Jones was found to be in possession of cocaine, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. The incident happened in the presence of young children. He was released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Collins Court.

Timothy J. Isles, 17, of Dunkirk was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on April 7. Police responded to an intoxicated suspicious person on Buffalo Street at 3:24 a.m. Police discovered Isles sitting in a vehicle in possession of marijuana. He was released on an appearance ticket in the Town of Collins Court.

Sterling S. Doctor, 22, of North Collins was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration on April 7. Police observed Doctor, who appeared highly intoxicated, walking down the middle of Jamestown Street obstructing traffic at 8:56 p.m. Police attempted to guide Doctor out of the roadway and he became belligerent and physically combative towards police. He was arraigned in the Town of Persia Court and sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. The Erie County Sheriff’s Department and New York State Troopers assisted.

Silver Creek Village Court

Alyssa R. Breighner, 25, of Parkway Avenue, Silver Creek, was arraigned for aggravated unlicensed operation and her case was adjourned to May 1.

Hugh D. Jones, 48, of Dickinson Street, Silver Creek, was arraigned for operating a vehicle with a revoked registration. He returns to court June 5.

Richard W. Strom II, 48, of Oliver Place, Silver Creek, was arraigned on a charge of second-degree harassment. He was adjourned to June 5.

Westfield Police

Joseph R. Cornelius, 34, of Erie, Pa., was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding on April 14. At 8:35 p.m. police observed Cornelius operating a vehicle at a high rate of speed on West Main Street. His license was found to be suspended. He was released on an appearance ticket.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

CHAUTAUQUA – Thomas D. Przepiora, 57, of Mayville, was charged Tuesday with second-degree harassment and trespass after he allegedly threatened an individual on the phone, drove to his house and refused to leave when ordered to. He was issued tickets and will appear in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date.

MAYVILLE – District Attorney David Foley an-nounced the following pleas and sentences before the Honorable John T. Ward in Chautauqua County Court:

  • Lynne M. Austin, 49, of Webster Road, Brocton, was sentenced to 1 1/3 to 4 years in state prison for third-degree burglary.
  • Sadiq Diggs, 26, of Jamestown, was sentenced to 1 year in jail for fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance concurrent with 6 months in jail for fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
  • Johanna Vazquez, 30, of Jamestown, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 5 years probation for fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
  • James E. Baran, 38, of Jamestown, was sentenced to 5 years probation, restitution and $375 surcharge for third-degree burglary.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

Michael Osar, 37, of Dunkirk, was charged Sat-urday at 1:30 a.m. with driving while ability impaired and insufficient head lamps after a traffic stop on Central Avenue in Dunkirk. Deputies pulled over Osar’s vehicle for having only one head lamp and it is alleged he was driving while impaired by alcohol and possibly other substances. He was issued tickets and will appear City Court.

LEON – David J. Miller, 19, of Leon was taken into custody Friday on a warrant for third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief stemming from an incident that occurred in May. Miller was arraigned in the Randolph Town Court and released on his own recognizance.

LEON – Jeremy M. Booker, 30, of Randolph was charged Friday with felony driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content over .08 percent, failure to keep right and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle after a traffic stop on Route 62. He was released with tickets.

Westfield Police

Austin Solo-Sakss, 19, of Jamestown was charged with trespass on April 13 on a warrant. Jamestown Police allegedly came into contact with Solo-Sakss in Jamestown after 9 p.m. He allegedly had an active bench warrant out of the Town of Westfield Court for failure to appear. He was turned over to Westfield Police, arraigned and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail after he was unable to post bail. Solo-Sakss will appear in Westfield court.

Kenneth C. Emery Jr., 42, of Bourne Street was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, improper turn, failure to keep right and failure to maintain lane on April 13. Westfield Police observed a vehicle make an improper turn onto East Main Street nearly striking the curb on the south side of the road at 2:37 a.m. Police then observed the vehicle operator allegedly cross the center yellow line and white hazard markings. Operator Emery Jr. was found to be intoxicated. He was released on an appearance ticket

ELLERY – A two-car accident led to charges and an injury Monday. Deputies were called to an accident on Route 380 near the Sinclair Drive Extension. It is alleged Jeremy Ranney, 34, of Stockton, was turning left onto Sinclair Drive Extension when Holly Roman, 40, of Brocton, attempted to pass him. Ranney was charged with use of a cell phone and uninspected motor vehicle. Roman was charged with passing in a no passing zone. Roman was also transported to WCA Hospital by Sin-clairville Ambulance for in-juries as a result of the accident. Both were issued tickets.

JAMESTOWN – Joshua Crist, 32, of Jamestown, was charged April 9 with petit larceny after he allegedly used the public benefit card of another individual on Oct. 11, 2011 and received $89.93 he was not entitled to. Crist is scheduled to appear in Jamestown Court.

  • On Sunday, Robbin Hill, 55, of Chautauqua Road, Fredonia was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department and the Dunkirk Police Depart-ment received several calls about an erratic driver who was running other drivers off the road. Dunkirk police located the vehicle on Farel Road and made a stop. Sheriff’s deputies arrived shortly afterward and identified Hill. They report he was intoxicated.

Hill was charged and released to family members. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Pomfret Court.

  • HANOVER – On Sunday at 2 a.m., Steven L. Taber, 43, of 2667 Sunset Drive in Eden was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, crossed official markings, and no insurance.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies reportedly observed a vehicle traveling east on Routes 5 and 20 that crossed the center line and hazard line of the road several times. They stopped the vehicle and identified Taber as the driver, and charged him. He was released with traffic tickets.

  • HARMONY – Sunday at 3:45 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash on Hoag Road.

Andrew J. Sheldon, 26, of Ashville was operating a vehicle northbound when he drove off the road and crashed into a ditch. Shel-don was reportedly intoxicated and was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, moving from land unsafely and operating out of class.

Sheldon was released to a third party and is to appear in Town of Harmony Court.

  • EAST OTTO – On Thursday, troopers took Michelle Booth, 32, of Meyer Hill Road into custody at her residence.

The Village of Springville issued a bench warrant after she failed to appear for a second-degree identity theft case, and the Town of Concord issued a bench warrant after she failed to appear for court on a third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation charge.

That afternoon, while troopers were at her home checking for her, a car pulled into the driveway and she was identified as the passenger in the back seat.

Booth was taken into custody without incident, arraigned in the Town of Concord Court and sent to the Erie County Holding Center on $15,000 bail.

  • VERSAILLES – Troop-ers charged Wyatt Schoenle, 39, of Chestnut Street with third-degree falsely reporting an incident and third-degree offering a false instrument in connection with a complaint he made a week earlier.

On April 6, troopers were sent to his home after he reported money missing from his wallet. Schoenle reported that an acquaintance of his was at his home and took the money. When troopers questioned the acquaintance, he showed them saved text messages Schoenle had sent him. Reportedly, the messages threatened him and said Schoenle would report that he stole his money after the two had a dispute.

Schoenle is scheduled to appear in Perrysburg Court.

N.Y. State Troopers

  • SHERIDAN – Sunday morning, troopers charged Branden Czechowski, 29, of South Dayton for aggravated driving while intoxicated.

He reportedly crossed the center line while driving on South Roberts Road. He reportedly failed field sobriety tests and was detained.

He was processed at the Fredonia state police barracks where his blood alcohol level was tested and reported to be .20 percent.

He is scheduled to appear in Sheridan Court May 16.

POLAND – Charges are pending against Rodney E. Milliner, 67, of Hornell, after a single-vehicle accident on Interstate-86 Thursday. Deputies responded to an accident near the Kennedy exit of Interstate-86 around 8:20 a.m. Investigation found Milliner’s vehicle veered to the north side of the road for an unknown reason, striking a guide rail and coming to rest in a ditch. Milliner was transported to WCA Hospital for apparent non-life threatening injuries by Kennedy Rescue. Charges are pending.

Shawn E. Hurley, 29, of Gowanda, was arraigned on aggravated unlicensed operation. His case was adjourned to May 1.

Jeffrey T. Jamison Jr., 26, of Irving, was arraigned on driving while intoxicated. He will return May 1.

Reginald A. Kohler II, 24, of Monroe Street, Silver Creek, pleaded guilty to dog at large and was fined $50.

J. Morales-Marrero, 25, of Dunkirk, was arraigned on aggravated unlicensed operation and was adjourned to May 1.

Craig J. Newman, 23, of Randolph, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was fined $50 and $125 surcharge.

Deborah A. Steiner, 54, of Babcock Avenue, Silver Creek, pleaded guilty to two counts of unlicensed dogs and was fined $50.

An 18-year-old Silver Creek boy was arraigned on possession of marijuana and was adjourned to May.

Woman charged with petit larceny

MAYVILLE – Elizabeth Asher, 29, of Mayville was charged with petit larceny. She was reportedly caught shoplifting Thursday at approximately 11:30 a.m..

Employees in the Dollar General on West Lake Road reported Asher took merchandise valued at $12.63 without paying. She was also found to possess a suspended driver’s license.

Asher was taken to state police headquarters in Jamestown, processed and released to appear in Chautauqua Town Court with tickets.

Falconer man facing numerous charges in deer jacking case

New York State Depart-ment of Environmental Con-servation Police charged a Chautauqua County man with 54 misdemeanor charges after an investigation of a deer jacking case.

In addition to deer jacking – the illegal practice of shooting deer with the use of an artificial light – the investigation unveiled numerous other offenses.

Bruce Giddy, 60, of Falconer, was charged with 46 misdemeanors and 8 penal law misdemeanors. The misdemeanors include:

  • Prohibited use of a weapon (4 counts)
  • Reckless endangerment, second degree (4 counts)
  • Possessing a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle (4 counts)
  • Taking deer while in a motor vehicle (4 counts)
  • Taking a deer from a public highway (4 counts)
  • Taking deer out of season (3 counts)
  • Taking deer out of legal hunting hours (1 count)
  • Illegal taking of a deer (4 counts)
  • Hunting deer with an artificial light (4 counts)
  • Discharging a firearm over a road (4 counts)
  • Discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a school property (1 count)
  • Discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a factory (1 count)

The case began when the Jamestown Police Depart-ment contacted DEC Police on Nov. 25 to report that a deer had been shot and left on a school property in Jamestown over Thanksgiv-ing weekend.

Witness reports indicated that the man shot the deer from his vehicle within a residential area and on a school property.

After careful investigation spanning four months, DEC Police were able to track down the suspect and also link him to numerous similar incidents where deer had been shot in residential areas and left behind, as well as with a lengthy list of other hunting-related violations.

In addition to being charged with misdemeanors of Environmental Conserva-tion Law, charges against Giddy also include reckless endangerment charges for shooting on public property and within a residential area.

Each misdemeanor carries a jail term of up to one year and fines range from $200 to $2,000 per charge.

Giddy will be arraigned on the Town of Ellicott charges on April 16 and on the city of Jamestown charges on April 23.

CHERRY CREEK – Charles R. Houser II, 27, of Gerry, was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content over .18 percent, failure to stay within lane and traffic law violations after an accident on Route 83. Deputies were called to the scene of a one-car accident at 8:20 p.m. Houser allegedly drove his vehicle into a fence and came to rest in a ditch. He received appearance tickets.

Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office

DAYTON – David J. Becker, 39, of Gowanda, was charged Monday with felony driving while intoxicated common law, felony DWI with a blood alcohol content above .08 percent, criminal mischief and vehicle and traffic violations after a domestic incident. Deputies were called to Gable Street around 3 a.m. to investigate a domestic incident. Becker returned to the scene and was found to be intoxicated. He was arraigned in the Perrysburg Town Court and sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail on $1,500 bail. He will appear in the Dayton Town Court at a later date.

Kevin J. Andes, 49, of Buffalo pleaded guilty to charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, and a turn signal violation. He was fined a total of $1,145.

Emily D. Burroughs, 23, of Central Avenue in Silver Creek pleaded guilty to unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and was fined $235.

Brittany A. Cettell, 23, of Fredonia was arraigned on a charge of petit larceny. She was released on her own recognizance and returns to court in May.

Cody J. Cook, 20, of Irving was arraigned on a charge of second-degree harassment. He was released on his own recognizance and returns to court in May.

Jennifer R. Laspesa, 33, of Main Street in Silver Creek pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct. She was fined $225.

Colby A. Newton, 42, of Christy Street in Silver Creek pleaded guilty to facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation and was fined $360.

FRENCH CREEK- On Friday at about 11:45 p.m., Christian R. Kinney, 24, of Sherman was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI (blood alcohol content .18 percent or higher). fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana, open container of alcohol, and parking on the highway.

Sheriff’s patrol located a vehicle stopped in the travel lane of Conway Road. The vehicle was running and the lights were on. The deputy pulled along side the vehicle to check on the driver, and the vehicle appeared to be unoccupied. The deputy then conducted a traffic stop and reportedly saw a male slumped over the driver’s seat apparently unconscious and open containers of alcohol in the vehicle’s cupholder.

Reportedly, the deputy woke the subject, identified him as Kinney, and conducted sobriety tests. Kinney was unable to complete the tests safely. The deputy reported finding a switchblade in Kinney’s pocket and marijuana in the vehicle.

Kinney was transported to the sheriff’s office in Mayville. He was released the following morning to a sober third party, and will answer charges in the Town of French Creek Court.

POMFRET – On Saturday at about 1 a.m., Cortney Tomsick, 23, of 71 Gardner St., Fredonia was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, moving from lane unsafely, and failure to keep right.

Tomsick was stopped on West Main Road for reportedly moving from her lane unsafely and failing to keep right. Further investigation reportedly revealed Tomsick was intoxicated.

Tomsick was taken into custody and later released with appearance tickets.

POLAND – On Satur-day at 2:40 a.m., Michael Schimek, 25, of Cherry Creek was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possessing a controlled substance outside the original container.

Sheriff’s patrol stopped a westbound vehicle on Route 394 for reportedly not having a front license plate displayed. Reportedly, Schimek, a passenger in the vehicle, had a baggie containing three different types of pills. Deputies were able to identify that two of three types were controlled substances for which Schimek did not have a prescription.

He was released to appear in court.

NORTH HARMONY – On Saturday, Brandon Chase, 20, of West Smith Street in Corry, Pa., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Chase was stopped for a reported traffic infraction. When speaking to Chase, the officer reportedly smelled marijuana. The trooper searched the vehicle and reportedly found a plastic baggie containing less than 25 grams of marijuana.

Chase was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of North Harmony Court on April 18.

ELLICOTT – On Saturday, Wayne G. Serra, 36, of Bolivar was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree felony aggravated unlicensed operation, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and refusing a breath test.

Troopers received a call from an acquaintance of Serra. The complainant said that Serra was operating his vehicle without permission and was headed toward Jamestown on I-86. Troopers located the vehicle and reported that Serra failed sobriety tests. Serra reportedly had multiple DWI convictions. He refused a breath test and reportedly had a revoked license.

Serra was arraigned in the Town of Ellicott Court and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail with no bail

Sherman man charged with felony DWI

SHERMAN – On Tuesday troopers charged Mark Reynolds, 47, of Sherman, with felony driving while intoxicated.

Reynolds was pulled over for reportedly speeding on Kipp Street. He reportedly failed several field sobriety tests, and was taken into custody. Reynolds was transported to the State Police barracks in Jamestown where he provided a breath sample reported to be .10 percent. Since he had been convicted of DWI within the preceding 10 years, the charge was upgraded to a felony.

Reynolds was processed, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Sherman Court, and turned over to a sober individual.

Jeffrey Dimmer, 21, of Middlesex Drive was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on March 30.

JAMESTOWN – Robert F. Majak, 49, of Jamestown, was taken into custody Tuesday on a warrant for first-degree criminal contempt after deputies were informed of his whereabouts. Majak was sent to the Chautauqua County Jail. He was featured on the Chautauqua County Wanted List.

LEON – Mahlon D. Gingrich, 18, of Leon, was charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny after allegedly breaking into Adams Lumber Mill and taking five cans of soda. Gingrich was arraigned in the Conewango Town Court and sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail on $2,000 bail. He will appear in the Leon Town Court at a later date.

Cattaraugus man arrested for trespassing

CATTARAUGUS – Charles K. Cox, 29, of Cattaraugus was charged March 9 with trespass by the state police in Collins.

The Cattaraugus-Little Valley School District staff alerted troopers about a person who was trespassing on school property. In conjunction with the Safe School and Outreach Program, a trooper conducting a visit at the high school was told an unknown man was entering school property after hours and climbing into district dumpsters searching for and removing aluminum cans.

Troopers from the Collins barracks worked with staff and determined that the man entered the property around the same time almost every night. On March 7, the man was located and identified as Cox. Troopers advised him not to return or he would be charged with trespassing. Within 48 hours, Cox was reportedly observed on video again. At that point, he was charged

Cox is due to answer charges in New Albion court on April 16.

Collins woman charged with DWI

DAYTON – Shortly after midnight on Saturday, state police from Collins charged Lucille S. Ward, 30, of Collins with driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation.

Two troopers southbound on Route 62 reportedly observed a 1993 Chevrolet Corsica backing into the highway with inadequate exhaust.

Reportedly Ward had an expired driver’s license and three suspensions filed on three separate dates.

She was processed at the Collins Barracks where her blood alcohol content was reported to be .09 percent.

She is due in Dayton Court at a later date.

MAYVILLE – William E. Osthagen, 42, of Mayville, was charged Monday with third-degree assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child after an altercation at his residence.

Falconer woman charged with DWI

  • Jaimee Mix, 38, of Fal-coner was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated. Troopers pulled her over on Route 60 in Jamestown for a reported traffic violation. Mix reportedly failed several field sobriety tests.

She was transported to state police barracks in Jamestown where the breath sample she provided was reported at .12 percent. She was processed, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Ellicott Court and released to a sober individual.

Westfield Police

At midnight on Friday, Thomas M. Pereira was charged for possessing an open container of alcohol.

Officers report he was observed with an open container of alcohol. He was issued an appearance ticket.

On Friday at 8:30 p.m., Matthew Sandberg, 31, of Westbrook, Conn., was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speed in zone.

A Westfield officer who was on patrol reportedly observed a vehicle westbound on Main Street in the village traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer also reported that he found Sandberg’s license to operate a motor vehicle in New York was suspended.

Sandberg is scheduled to appear in the Village of Westfield Court.

On Friday at about 10 p.m., Carl Walker, 48, of Knox, Pa., was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator, failure to keep right, and failure to maintain lane.

An officer was on patrol on Academy Street where he reported observing a southbound vehicle cross the center yellow line and the white hazard marking several times. According to the officer, further investigation showed that Walker’s privileges to operate a motor vehicle in New York state were suspended.

Walker is scheduled to appear in Westfield Court.

POMFRET – Deputies Thursday charged Shaun Scriven, 32, of Dunkirk with driving while intoxicated and speeding in zone.

Scriven was the operator of a vehicle stopped at about 10:48 p.m. for reportedly speeding on Webster Road.

Scriven was released with traffic tickets and is to appear in the Town of Pomfret Court.

HANOVER – Sunday at 2 a.m., Michael Gajkow-ski, 31, of 1357 Pontiac Road in Angola was charged with second-degree unlicensed operation.

He was stopped for failing to keep right on Routes 5 and 20. Officers report his driver’s license is revoked for a driving while intoxicated conviction. He was issued tickets to appear in the Town of Hanover Court.

ELLERY – Saturday at 3:40 a.m., Charles T. Glenn, 21, was charged with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, refusing a pre-screen breath test, failure to reduce speed on a curve and failure to keep right.

Deputies responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Salisbury Road. Reportedly Glenn was traveling west when he failed to reduce speed on a curve and lost control of his vehicle. He crossed over the opposing lane and rolled his vehicle onto its side. The vehicle came to rest against a street sign post.

Emergency Medical Services personnel from the Ellery Center and Maple Springs Fire Departments checked Glenn who refused treatment and transport. Deputies allege that Glenn failed sobriety tests and refused a pre-screen breath test at the scene of the accident.

Glenn was released to appear in the Town of Ellery Court.
