GOWANDA – The Gowanda Police Department has seized several marijuana plants on June 25.

Police were notified of a highly intoxicated person that may be in need of medical assistance at 1:40 a.m. in the basement of 34 E. Main St. Upon investigation the complaint in the multiple dwelling complex, police were unable to locate any person but did find a small marijuana growing operation.

Police confiscated six marijuana plants approximately 2 feet in height. Police disabled the lighting system used to grow the plants. Erie County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the call and the investigation is continuing.

Dunkirk Police Department

Torry Kenny, 20, of Westfield, was charged with petit larceny, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fourth-degree criminal mischief on June 28.

Luis Rivera-Hernandez, 25, of Lincoln Avenue, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on June 28.

Anthony Luis Irrizary, of Dunkirk, was charged with second-degree harassment on June 28.

Shaunquaila Maxwell, 22, of Leopard Street, was charged with failure to yield right of way at a left turn on June 29.

Mario Castro, 19, of South Beaver Street, was charged with second-degree harassment on June 29.

Allan Barreca, 51, of Lord Street, was charged with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content above 0.18 percent on June 29.

Yalitza Nieves, 33, of South Beagle Street, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Monday.

Fred Arcoraci, 82, of Columbus Street, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Monday after police say he went off of the roadway in his vehicle and struck a mailbox and a large rock on Crooked Brook Drive.

Jose Reyes-Collazo, 23, of Main Street, was charged with following too closely, operating out of class and disorderly conduct on Tuesday.

Fred Santiago, 25, of Lake Shore Drive West, was charged with second-degree menacing, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree conspiracy, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, having a defaced firearm and fourth-degree criminal mischief on Tuesday.

Julie Condoyannis, of Eagle Street, was charged with failure to stop at a red light, failure to stop at a stop sign, disobeying a traffic control device, failure to comply, second-degree obstruction of a government administration, second-degree reckless endangerment and fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana on Tuesday.

Gowanda Police Department

Joshua W. Shiefer, 20, of Erie Avenue was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on June 28.

Police during routine patrol saw two males running and acting suspicious on Palmer Street at 5:31 p.m. Shiefer was found to be in possession of a small bag of suspected marijuana.

He was released on an appearance ticket for Persia Town Court.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

HANOVER – Jacob Fiederowicz, 21, of Buffalo, was charged with disorderly conduct Friday morning at Lake Shore Hospital at around 4 a.m.

Deputies were called to the hospital for a disorderly individual. Upon arrival, they identified Fiederowicz as the person. While they were speaking to Fiederowicz, he allegedly continued to use obscene language. After ignoring numerous warnings to refrain from using the language, he was taken into custody.

Fiederowicz was later released and issued an appearance ticket. He will appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
