¯ Deputies arrested a Conewago Valley man Saturday. At about 8:40 p.m., deputies responded to a residence on Route 62 in the Town of Ellington for a reported disorderly male. Upon arrival, deputies located Darrin M. Hill, 31, at the residence. After a brief investigation it was found that Hill had damaged the property of another individual and had done so in the presence of a child less than 17 years old. Hill was taken into custody and charged with third degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child. Hill was arraigned in the Town of Charlotte Court on behalf of the Town of Ellington, and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $15,000 cash/ $30,000 property bond. It was later learned that Hill also had an outstanding federal warrant for desertion from the United States Army, and is currently being held without bail on the outstanding warrant. Hill will answer to his charges in the Town of Ellington Court at a later date.
