¯ SHERIDAN — On Wednesday, at approximately 6:22 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 5 for allegedly traveling 88 mph in a 55 mph zone. During the stop, the operator of the vehicle, Luis O. LeBron-Ortiz, 21, of Dunkirk was allegedly found to have a suspended license. LeBron-Ortiz was issued traffic tickets for speed in zone and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

¯ MAYVILLE — On Wednesday at roughly 9:40 a.m., deputies took a report of an altercation that took place in Mayville. It was alleged that Ashlee M. Shirley, 34, of Jamestown violated an order of protection. Shirley was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge of second-degree criminal contempt in the Town of Chautauqua Court.

¯ MAYVILLE — On Wednesday at about 11:18 a.m., deputies said they observed a vehicle operating without a valid inspection sticker on Elm Street. After stopping the vehicle, further investigation revealed the operator, Allison L. Syper, 24, of Mayville, was allegedly operating the vehicle while impaired by drugs. Syper was reportedly found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, suboxone, and clonazepam.

The passenger, Robert D. Keech, 23, of Stockton, was allegedly found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Syper was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and uninspected motor vehicle.

Keech was charged with criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Both were arraigned in the Town of Chautauqua Court, Keech was released under the supervision of probation, and Syper was sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.

Westfield Police Department

¯ On Sunday at approximately 8 a.m., Pedro J. Corraliza, 52, of Westfield was allegedly causing a disturbance at 129 Chestnut St. in Westfield. Police said that Corraliza had a confrontation with a tenant that escalated into a physical altercation and Corraliza allegedly choked and punched a tenant and fled the scene.

The victim suffered from injuries to his left eye and face. Upon completion of the investigation, Corraliza was arrested and charged by police with third-degree assault.

Corraliza will appear in the village of Westfield court at a later date and time.
