A traffic infraction in the town of Pomfret led to the arrest of a Buffalo man who was wanted on a warrant.
At 1:24 a.m. Monday, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle operated by James A. Keeves, 52, on state Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. During the traffic stop it was found the Keeves had a suspended driver’s license and an active warrant for his arrest out of the West Seneca Police Department.
Keeves was placed in custody without incident and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and was turned over to the West Seneca Police Department. He is to be in Pomfret Town Court on a later date.
