≤ On March 1 at around 6:45 p.m., patrol observed a vehicle with a loud muffler on Erie Road. The vehicle was traveling slowly, but upon passing patrol, the vehicle rapidly accelerated. Patrol initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Shaun R. Barringer, 40, of Evans. Patrol allegedly observed the odor of alcohol on Barringer’s breath, impaired speech and motor function and glassy eyes. Patrol asked Barringer if he’d had anything to drink, to which Barringer replied “no.” Patrol asked Barringer to perform several sobriety tests, all of which he refused.

Barringer was placed into custody, where he refused to take a chemical breath test. Upon conducting a search of the vehicle, patrol allegedly found a 42 oz. bottle of Steel Reserve inside the vehicle.

Barringer was charged with DWI, refusal to take breath test, drinking alcohol in motor vehicle on highway and a muffler exhaust system violation and his vehicle was towed.

≤ On March 1 at about 8:55 p.m., patrol stopped a vehicle for speeding on Southwestern Boulevard. A computer check revealed that the driver, Xzavier A. Davis, 54, of Lackawanna, allegedly had his license suspended for an alcohol-related offense. Davis was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, use leased/rented/loaned vehicle without interlock device, operate motor vehicle by unlicensed driver and speeding.

≤ On March 2 at roughly 6:51 p.m., patrol stopped a vehicle for speeding and no/inadequate headlights on Eden Evans Center Road. Patrol made contact with the driver, Philip Missana, 27, of Buffalo, and allegedly smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. When asked about the odor, Missana stated that he had friends in the car earlier who smelled like marijuana.

Missana reportedly gave consent to search the vehicle and his person. Patrol found $400 on Missana and a backpack containing a glass jar filled with marijuana and $8,000 wrapped in rubber bands in his vehicle.

Missana was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, fail to notify change of home, no/inadequate lights and speeding. Missana was booked roadside and released with an appearance ticket along with his cash.
