KIANTONE — On May 7, troopers pulled over a vehicle on The Glen for attempting to avoid a road check on Route 60. While speaking to the driver, Sierra Moon, 20, of Warren, PA, troopers allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside Moon’s vehicle. A search of Moon and her vehicle revealed a bag containing an unspecified amount of marijuana. Moon was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, issued an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket and is scheduled to appear in town of Kiantone Court later this month.

≤ SINCLAIRVILLE — On Monday, troopers responded to a report of a truck in the ditch at the intersection of Townline Road and County Route 380. Thomas Yusczyk, 62, of Sinclairville, was reportedly uninjured and was attempting to drive the truck from the ditch upon the troopers’ arrival. After allegedly failing several sobriety tests, Yusczyk was placed under arrest and charged with DWI. Yusczyk was transported to State Police Jamestown, where he refused to provide a breath sample. Yusczyk was processed and transported to Chautauqua County Jail.

≤ FRENCH CREEK — On May 5 at about 11:51 p.m., deputies responded to a reported suspicious situation. After an investigation, it was found that TJ Parker C. Jensen, 18, of East Lake, Ohio, allegedly damaged property belonging to another individual. Jensen was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and will answer the charge in Town of French Creek Court at a later date.
