≤ KIANTONE — On May 19 at about 1:01 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 60 for a lane violation. The operator was identified as Keith E. Anthony, 44, of Frewsburg. Investigation allegedly found Anthony to be intoxicated and he was taken into custody, where he reportedly refused a breath test. Anthony was charged with DWI, moved from lane unsafely and failure to notify DMV of address change. After processing, Anthony was held at Chautauqua County Jail pending arraignment, and will appear in Town of Kiantone Court at a later date to answer the charges.

≤ HANOVER — On May 19 at around 6:35 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Routes 5 & 20 for an observed traffic violation. The operator was identified as Elijah K. Bowmanleroy, 24, of Irving. Investigation found that Bowmanleroy was allegedly operating his vehicle while intoxicated. Bowmanleroy was also reportedly found to have a suspended New York State driver’s license. Bowmanleroy was arrested and charged with DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, refusal to take a breath test and speed in zone. Bowmanleroy was transported to Chautauqua County Jail, where he will be arraigned in the centralized arraignment program.

≤ CHAUTAUQUA — On May 16 at roughly 3:15 p.m., Michael J. Pollaro, 33, of Jamestown was allegedly found to be in possession of an unspecified controlled substance while in the custody of Chautauqua County Jail. Pollaro was subsequently charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Pollaro will answer the charges in Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.

≤ HARMONY — On May 18 at about 1:06 a.m., deputies were called to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Niobe Road. Upon arrival, deputies identified the operator as Freeman D. Yoder, 21, of Busti. Yoder was allegedly found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. Yoder was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI and moved from lane unsafely. After processing, Yoder was released with traffic tickets and will appear in Town of Harmony Court at a later date.

≤ ASHVILLE — On May 20 at around 7:47 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Fire Investigation Team responded to Cedar Avenue to determine the cause and origin of a house fire. Investigators determined that the fire originated on the kitchen stove, due to a burner being on without the owner’s knowledge. No injuries occurred as a result of the fire.

New York State Police

JAMESTOWN — On May 20, a vehicle drove through a road check on Route 60. While speaking to the driver, Jenny Ortiz, 29, of Jamestown, troopers allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of Ortiz and her vehicle revealed two marijuana cigarettes. Ortiz was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the city of Jamestown Court on a later date.

≤ JAMESTOWN — On May 20, troopers pulled over a vehicle on Hebner Street for a seat belt violation. During the traffic stop, Adam Rodgers, 28, of Warren, Pennsylvania, was allegedly found to be in possession of multiple hypodermic needles and a bag containing one gram of methamphetamine. Rodgers was placed under arrest and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Rodgers was transported to State Police Jamestown and processed, then issued an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket and is scheduled to appear in the City of Jamestown Court next month.

≤ JAMESTOWN — On May 20, a vehicle was stopped at a road check on North Main Street for a loud exhaust. While speaking to the driver, Autumn Blakey, 24, of Kennedy, troopers allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of Blakey and her vehicle revealed a bag containing an unspecified amphetamine and a pipe containing marijuana residue. Blakey was placed under arrest and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Blakey was transported to State Police Jamestown and processed, then issued appearance tickets and a traffic ticket and is scheduled to appear in the city of Jamestown Court later in the month.

Westfield Police Department

On Tuesday, the Westfield Police Department received a report of an alleged possibly intoxicated driver headed westbound on East Main Street in the village of Westfield. Police allegedly observed this vehicle traveling west on East Main Street and observed the vehicle pull into the parking lot of Crosby Mart at 128 E. Main St. in Westfield.

Officers made contact with the driver, Glenn M. Minnis, 48, of Warren, Pennsylvania, and allegedly observed in plain view multiple open containers of beer inside the vehicle. Through further investigation, it was allegedly determined that Minnis was intoxicated. He was arrested for open container, DWI and aggravated DWI for more than .18% blood alcohol level. Minnis allegedly had a BAC of .23%.

Dunkirk Police Department

¯ On May 2, Kenneth Mosley, 36, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and resisting arrest.

¯ On May 3, Heyric M. Diaz, 33, of Dunkirk was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.

¯ On May 5, Christopher D. Vazquez, of Dunkirk was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and operating a motor vehicle out of class.

¯ On May 5, Roderick Covington, 29, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession marijuana.

¯ On May 6, Alexander S. Sawyer, 31, of Depew was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

¯ On May 7, Michael Porter, 47, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree assault.

¯ On May 7, Justin M. Stanfield, 32, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of motor vehicle and no rear bumper.

¯ On May 7, Bediako Nyasa, 32, of Fredonia was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and petit larceny.

¯ On May 7, Justin T. Spicer, 39, of Brocton was charged with DWI.

¯ On May 8, Eddie M. Marshall, 24, of Dunkirk was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a concealed weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana.

¯ On May 8, Cory Snow, 29, of Irving was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

¯ On May 9, Mark J. Szocki, 57, of Dunkirk was charged with DUAI-drugs and moving from lane unsafely.

¯ On May 9, Jesus M. Ramos, of Dunkirk was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in zone.

¯ On May 12, Angelytte L. Barreto, 25, of Dunkirk was charged with DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to keep right.

¯ On May 13, Todd A. Witt, 41, of Sinclairville was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic.

¯ On May 13, Christopher Kramer, 53, of Fredonia was charged with second-degree harassment.

¯ On May 14, David E. Rosa-Osario, 45, of Dunkirk was charged with petit larceny and trespassing.

¯ On May 14, David Rosa, of Dunkirk was charged with petit larceny.

¯ On May 14, Ackeena L. Sikes, 33, of Dunkirk was charged with endangering.

¯ On May 15, Mylz D. Waterman, 31, of Gowanda was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and illegal signal.

¯ On Thursday, Andrew W. Sissem, 25, of Dunkirk was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and forcible touching.

¯ On Friday, Leswil Vellon Velazquez, 21, of Jamestown was third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of motor vehicle and passing a red light.

¯ On Saturday, Jamal A. Robinson, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of motor vehicle and speeding in zone.

¯ On Saturday, Joseph A. Rosario, 32, of Dunkirk was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

¯ On Sunday, Magdaleno A. Gonzalez, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree criminal trespass.

¯ On Sunday, Tony Pagan, 28, of Dunkirk was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, failure to stop at a stop sign and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

¯ On May Sunday, Gerard Bautista, 19, of Dunkirk was charged with operation of a motor vehicle without insurance.

¯ On Monday, Jose O. Rivera Guevara, 41, of Dunkirk was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

¯ On Monday, Erika D. Bess, 22, of Dunkirk was charged with petit larceny.

¯ On Tuesday, Michael D. Bobek, 29, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

¯ On Tuesday, Kimberly A. Tolbert, 41, of Dunkirk was arrested on outstanding bench warrants for three counts of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, suspended registration, no insurance, failure to stop and obstruction of view.
