Dunkirk Police Department

¯ On May 30, Gregory Lockett, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in zone.

¯ On May 31, Earvin I. Ezell, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and discharge of a fire arm.

¯ On May 31, Brianna L. Csont, 27, of Dunkirk was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

¯ On June 2, Chimba J. Evelyn, 24, of Dunkirk was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.

¯ On June 2, Justin A. Baez, 27, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny and possession of stolen property.

¯ On June 2, Juan L. Resto Jr., 32, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny.

¯ On June 3, Clifton Lynch, 30, of Westfield was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop at a stop sign.

¯ On June 3, Joshua G. Lindquist, 23, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to signal before 100 feet.

¯ On Wednesday, Matthew S. Sowers, 42, of Dunkirk was charged with petit larceny.

¯ On Thursday, Kelly L. Klink, 34, of Murrysville, Pa. was charged with DWI.

¯ On Thursday Stephanie Soule, 35, of Dunkirk was charged with petit larceny.

¯ On Friday, Paul A. Bowen, 54, of Westfield was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and no signal.

¯ On Friday, Shannon M. Roche, of Dunkirk was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.

¯ On Saturday, Annette C. Zapata, 30, of Dunkirk was charged with DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop.

Gowanda Police Department

¯ On May 19, at around 10:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance at a Broadway Road residence. Dennis G. Mitchell, 30, of Gowanda allegedly had a verbal altercation with a female acquaintance which purportedly escalated into a physical one. Mitchell was charged with second-degree harassment and released to appear in Persia Town Court at a later date.

¯ On May 20, at approximately 1:45 a.m., patrol stopped a vehicle on South Water Street for inadequate headlights. The driver was identified as Katherine L. Genovese, 32, of Eden. A computer check found that Genovese’s license was suspended, also during the stop police allegedly found her to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Genovese was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marijuana and inadequate headlights. She was released and is due to appear in Persia Town Court on a later date.

¯ On May 25, at around 6:55 a.m., patrol responded to a report of a disturbance at a Broadway Road residence. William D. Morris, 32, of Gowanda allegedly had a verbal altercation with a female acquaintance which purportedly escalated into a physical one. The victim was treated at Lakeshore Hospital for injuries and Morris was located at his residence, having left the scene. He was charged with second-degree and third-degree assault. He was arraigned in Persia Town Court and taken to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

On June 2, at about 1 a.m. police found Morris violating an order of protection issued by Persia Town Court, mandating that Morris stay away from the female acquaintance. Morris was allegedly observed on Buffalo Street speaking with the female. He was further charged with second-degree criminal contempt by Collins Town Court and taken to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $1,000 bail.

¯ On May 27, at about 9:30 p.m., a vehicle was stopped on Aldrich Street in the village of Gowanda for inadequate license plate lights. Following a short investigation, police found the passenger, Cami A. Jones, 19, of Gowanda to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. She was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and released. Jones is due to appear in Persia Town Court on a later date.
