Gowanda Police Department

¯ A 54-year-old Collins woman is facing charges after an incident last month.

On June 12 at about 7:49 p.m., patrol received a complaint regarding Melissa M. Gould on Buffalo Street. Gould allegedly contacted a female acquaintance in various manners and threatened them with personal harm. Gould also allegedly attempted to harass the victim through third parties and by intimidating the victim in public on numerous occasions. Gould was arrested and charged with second-degree harassment and was released with an appearance ticket to appear in town of Collins Court at a later date. An investigation is continuing regarding any further harassment and false reports from Gould or from any third parties involving Gould.

¯ A parking lot disturbance led to troubles for a 20-year-old man.

On June 18 at 11:57 p.m., patrol responded to a parking lot at a Buffalo Street business. Patrol encountered Austin Gearman, 20, of Gowanda, who allegedly appeared intoxicated and was yelling at others in the parking lot. Patrol intervened and instructed Gearman to leave the area. Gearman refused and reportedly became confrontational with officers. Gearman was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Gearman was released with an appearance ticket and will appear in town of Collins Court at a later date.

Evans Police Department

¯ On June 14 at roughly 4:16 p.m., patrol responded to a complaint of a vehicle that struck a mailbox and immediately took off on North Main Street. Patrol spoke to the complainant, who gave a license plate number and description of the vehicle. Patrol located the vehicle near Kids Kastle, unoccupied. Dispatch contacted the owner of the vehicle, who reportedly works at Kids Kastle. Patrol met with Jason W. Miller, 39, of North Collins, who admitted to patrol that he was dozing off while driving, which caused him to strike the mailbox. Miller also noted he was dozing off because he was working overnights recently. Patrol spoke to the owner of the mailbox, who stated the box itself was undamaged, and wished no further police action. Miller was charged with operator leaves scene of property damage accident and moved from lane unsafely and was issued traffic tickets.

¯ On June 15 at around 12:34 p.m., Michelle D. Garner, 50, of Buffalo, was involved in a personal injury accident on the corner of Reeves and Erie roads. Garner had minor injuries from the accident and was taken to ECMC by AMR for evaluation. During the accident investigation, it was learned that Garner was allegedly operating her vehicle on a suspended New York driver’s license. Garner was processed and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate. Garner will be served the summonses at a later date.

¯On June 15 at around 3:20 a.m., patrol located Kristian C. Golden, 27, of Angola. A bench warrant for Golden’s arrest was showing out of the city of Buffalo. Buffalo Police were contacted and met Evans Police to take custody of Golden.
