Second Saturday Uke Jam set for Aug. 10

Fredonia Ukulele will be hosting a “Second Saturday Uke Jam” at Domus Fare restaurant on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. Rock out to your favorite music (50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and now). Ripley Library Board to meet Saturday

The Ripley Library Board of Trustees will meet on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 2 p.m. in the library at 64 W. Main Street in Ripley.

Portion of Route 380 to be closed Friday

County Road 380 in the town of Stockton between Lord and Cemetery roads will be closed to all traffic Friday, Aug. 9, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. A Detour will not be posted.

Sheridan Post 6390 VFW Auxiliary meeting

The Auxiliary of the Sheridan VFW 6390 will hold its monthly meeting this coming Monday, Aug. 12, at the post located at 2556 Route 20 in Sheridan. This month’s meeting will begin at 6 p.m., a half hour earlier than usual, so that members can combine a picnic style pot luck supper with an informal meeting. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Bring a dish to pass.

Community singalong scheduled for Aug. 13

For the summer, the monthly community singalong is on TUESDAYS in a different location. This activity goes back to normal in September. The next singalong is Tuesday, Aug. 13 OUTDOORS from 7 to 8:30 p.m. or thereabouts (depending on the sun). Meet near the Gazebo and sing where it’s convenient. The rain location is Fredonia Grange No. 1, 58 W. Main St., Fredonia (across from Forest Place).
