≤ ELLERY — On Saturday at about 6:30 p.m., deputies responded to a vehicle complaint on Route 380 in the Town of Ellery. Upon arrival, deputies located Cathy A. Ratajczak, 55, of Jamestown at the scene. After an investigation, it was found that Ratajczak was operating her vehicle in an intoxicated state. Ratajczak was taken into custody and charged with DWI, aggravated DWI and failure to keep right. She was released with appearance tickets for the Town of Ellery Court to appear at a later date to answer to her charges.

≤ NORTH HARMONY — An Ashville man is facing driving while intoxicated charges.

At about 9:07 p.m. Oct. 5, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle for an observed traffic violation on North Maple Avenue.

An investigation found the operator of the vehicle, Kurt D. Crytzer, 27, was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Crytzer was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se, and speed in zone.

Crytzer was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of North Harmony Court at a later date.

¯ JAMESTOWN — On Oct. 3, troopers from the Jamestown barracks arrested Jonathan DeJesus, 24, of Jamestown, for second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana. DeJesus was pulled over on Route 60 in Jamestown for traffic violations and during the traffic stop, he was found to be in possession of a marijuana cigarette. DeJesus was issued an appearance ticket and traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellicott Court on a later date.

¯ FALCONER — On Oct. 5. troopers from the Jamestown barracks arrested Daniel Blake, 25, of Falconer, for petit larceny after receiving a walk-in complaint of a theft. Investigation revealed that Blake stole the victim’s credit card from a safe and used it for cash advances. Blake was arrested, processed at Jamestown and released with an appearance ticket. Blake is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellicott Court on a later date.

Gowanda Police Department

≤ Marvin Reveal, 37, of Gowanda was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and third-degree assault Sept. 29 after patrol officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Officers were told Reveal knocked a female acquaintance to the floor, then he allegedly punched her in the face and head repeatedly with a closed fist, causing injuries. He then allegedly placed his arms around her throat and choked her from behind. The woman was treated by Gowanda Ambulance Service and transported to Lakeshore Hospital. After his arrest, Reveal was arraigned in Town of Persia Court and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

≤ Rico Acevedo, 23, of Gowanda was picked up on a Cattaraugus County Court warrant Sept. 29 after failing to appear for a previous arrest for second degree assault. Acevedo was turned over to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department to process the warrant.

≤ Nathaniel Strawder, 23, of Fredonia was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, impeding traffic and failure to use the designated lane on Sept. 30. He was released with a Town of Collins Court appearance ticket.

≤ — Casey Irish, 32, of Forestville was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and an exhaust system violation on Oct. 4. He was released with a Town of Collins Court appearance ticket.
