New York State Police at Jamestown

¯ RANDOLPH — A 70-year-old resident is facing driving while intoxicated charges.

On Sunday, troopers out of Jamestown charged Sheldon, 70, of Randolph, with driving while intoxicated.

Sheldon was pulled over on Main Street in Randolph for a traffic violation and after failing several sobriety tests, Sheldon was placed under arrest.

Sheldon was transported to State Police at Jamestown where she provided a breath sample of 0.14. Sheldon was then processed, issued tickets and released. Sheldon is scheduled to appear in the town of Randolph Court next month.

¯ GERRY — A Jamestown resident is facing drug charges after being pulled over by New York State Police at Jamestown on Saturday.

Troopers report Nicholas Dean, 29, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

He was pulled over on Route 60 in Gerry for traffic violations and placed under arrest when the Troopers discovered his licensed to be suspended. While searching Dean and conducting an inventory on his vehicle, the Troopers located two Pregabalin capsules and a digital scale.

Dean was transported to the Jamestown barracks, processed and released with appearance and traffic tickets. Dean is scheduled to appear in the town of Gerry Court next month to answer the charges.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

RIPLEY — A 34-year-old town man is facing charges after Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence on Saturday afternoon.

Deputies investigating the 3 p.m. incident determined that Edwin S Munson broke property of another and would not allow the individuals involved to leave the residence. This incident occurred while in the presence of several young children.

Deputies were advised that Munson was hiding inside of the residence, so Sheriff’s Office K-9 was deployed and located Munson inside. Munson was taken into custody and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child.

Munson was brought to Chautauqua County Jail for the Centralized Arraignment Program.
