¯ SILVER CREEK — On Dec. 19, Sally Jo Bell, 40, of Hawaii, was arrested for and charged with allegedly driving while intoxicated misdemeanor, DWAI, speed not reasonable and prudent, failure to keep right, and unregistered motor vehicle.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to Route 5 in for a Motor Vehicle Accident with personal injury. When the deputies arrived on scene they conducted a brief investigation in which it was found that Bell was operating her vehicle while impaired by alcohol.

Bell was arrested and then released with UTTs directing her to appear in the Town of Sheridan Court at a later date to answer for the charges. The occupants of the second involved vehicle were transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital by Silver Creek Fire for minor injuries.

¯ STOCKTON — On Dec. 19, Nicholas J. Gaskin, 32, of Jamestown, was arrested and charged with allegedly speed excess of 55mph, unlicensed operation, unlawful possession of marijuana, and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop for an observed infraction in the Stockton. The operator was identified as Gaskin. Subsequent investigation yielded a small quantity of marijuana and a quantity of cocaine located in Gaskin’s vehicle. Gaskin was arrested and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail pending centralized arraignment.

¯ JAMESTOWN — On Dec. 20, Steven Becker, 25, was arrested on a New York State Parole warrant.

Becker was located at a residence in the city of Jamestown, taken in to custody, and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ BEMUS POINT — On Dec. 22, 2019, Joseph Zimmerman, 47, of Adamsville, PA, was arrested for being a fugitive from justice.

The Troopers pulled over a vehicle on I-86 in Bemus Point due to neither occupant wearing their seatbelt. Zimmerman was identified as one of the vehicle’s occupants and a license check revealed that there was an active violation of parole warrant for him issued by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for sale of cocaine. Zimmerman was placed under arrest and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, pending arraignment.

¯ RANDOLPH — On Dec. 21, Karen Koniak, 49,was arrested for felony aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Koniak was pulled over on Main Street in Randolph for traffic violations and after failing several SFSTs, Koniak was placed under arrest. Koniak was transported to SP Jamestown where she provided a breath sample of .30. The charged was upgraded to a felony when a check of Koniak’s driving history revealed that she had been convicted for DWI within the preceding 10 years. Koniak was then processed, issued tickets and released. Koniak is scheduled to appear in the town of Randolph Court next month.
