≤ ELLERY — On Dec. 19, Anthony J. Kozaczki, 41, of Jamestown, was arrested and charged for allegedly three counts of felony driving while intoxicated — Leandra’s Law, felony DWI — previous DWI conviction within ten years, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated DWI — blood alcohol level of .18% or greater, and speed in zone.

Sheriff’s Deputies observed a vehicle to be speeding on Interstate 86 in the Town of Ellery.

Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator to be Kozaczki. Following an investigation into the incident, Kozaczki was arrested and charged. Kozaczki was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for the Centralized Arraignment Program and will further answer his charges in Ellery Town Court.

≤ RIPLEY — On Dec. 22, Marc E. Whitman, 48, was arrested and charged with allegedly aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI, failure to comply, and speeding over 55mph.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped Whitman on N.E. Sherman Road in Ripley for an alleged speeding violation. After further investigation, it was alleged that Whitman was found to be driving while intoxicated. Whitman was placed in custody for DWI. Whitman was transported to CCSO for processing and was charged. Whitman was released to appear in the Town of Ripley Court at a later date.
