¯ RANDOLPH — A Coldspring man has been arrested after allegedly threatening a person with a gun.

On Dec. 22, Jordan L. John, 37, was arrested for alleged second-degree menacing after patrol responded to Coldspring for a male pointing a firearm at another person. Further investigation revealed that John did point a firearm in the direction of the victim during a dispute.

He is charged with second degree menacing. He was processed and released on an appearance ticket. He is due back in court at a later date.

¯ RANDOLPH — On Dec. 22, Jeffrey A. Baker, 40, of Jamestown, was arrested for allegedly driving while ability impaired, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and moving from lane unsafely.

Deputies responded to an erratic vehicle complaint on Interstate 86. Investigation revealed Baker operating the vehicle in an impaired state and leaving the scene of property damage.

Baker was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was released on appearance tickets to appear in Randolph Town Court on Jan. 9.

¯ POMFRET — On Dec. 27, Chase R. Jones, 23, of Bemus Point, was arrested for alleged aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI and speed over 55 mph.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Upper Spoden Road for an observed traffic violation. Jones was observed to be driving in an intoxicated state. Subsequent investigation led to Jones’s arrest. He was also issued a citation for speeding.

Jones was processed for these charges and later released. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Pomfret Court at a later date.
