Jamestown man facing drug charges after traffic stop

JAMESTOWN — A city man is facing drug charges after being pulled over early Saturday.

Before 1 a.m., Chautauqua County deputies observed a vehicle cross both the white fog line and the yellow line on Jones and Gifford. Deputies did stop the vehicle and identified the driver as Eric D Barbee, 37, of 169 Barrett Ave. Upon further investigation Barbee was found to be driving while intoxicated.

Barbee was also found to be in possession of a small quantity of cocaine. Barbee was charged with DWI, DWI per se, failure to maintain lane, failure to keep right, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
