¯ SOUTH DAYTON — On Jan. 25, Robert J. Deppa, 35 and Kylene M. Hellriegel, 35 of Salamanca were arrested for alleged seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, failure to use designated lane and second-degree criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

A vehicle was stopped for a traffic stop, then both individuals were arrested. There was a vehicle search and allegedly methamphetamine was found in the car.

Both were processed and Deppa was released on an appearance ticket. Hellriegel was given an appearance ticket and was transported to Olean Police Department on a warrant out of the city of Olean.

Both are due back at South Dayton Village Court at a later date and time.

¯ FORESTVILLE — On Tuesday, Joel R. Teft, 43 was arrested on charges of second-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

Deputies responded to Pearl Street to assist EMS units on a call. While on scene for that call it was reported to deputies that earlier that day an individual at that location had been struck by another subject and then was prevented from calling 911 for assistance. Teft was also allegedly found to have a valid order of protection against him by the individual he struck and prevented from calling 911.

Teft was subsequently place under arrest after investigation and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment for the charges against him.

¯ SILVER CREEK — On Wednesday, Jay C. Janora, 23 was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal contempt.

Deputies were dispatched to Spears Road for a reported disturbance at a residence. Through an investigation it was alleged that a subject had struck another individual at that residence. Janora was also found to have an active order of protection against him by the individual he had struck. Janora was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment for the charges against him.

¯ JAMESTOWN — On Thursday, Bryan L. Butera, 57 was charged with third-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree grand larceny, criminal possession of a forged instrument and third-degree criminal mischief.

Sheriff’s Deputies, assisted by Jamestown police, conducted a warrant check in the city of Jamestown. Butera was located in a parking lot of a business. Butera had active warrants for his arrest, was taken to Chautauqua County Jail and will answer his charges on a later date.

¯ JAMESTOWN — On Thursday, Omar V. Marrero, 34 was arrested for alleged violation of family court act.

Sheriff’s Deputies assisted Jamestown police with a warrant check at a residence on Crescent Street. Marrero was located at the residence. Marrero reportedly had an active arrest warrant for a violation of family court act. Marrero was taken to Chautauqua County Jail and will answer his charges on a later date.
