≤ JAMESTOWN — A 43-year-old city woman was arrested and charged Sunday with fourth degree criminal mischief.

Troopers responded to a residence in Jamestown for a report of a subject kicking in their door and causing damage. Wendy Merrill was identified as the subject and fled the scene, but was located soon afterwards and placed under arrest.

Merrill was processed at SP Jamestown, issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of Kiantone Court later in the month.

≤ JAMESTOWN — On Jan. 31, troopers out of Jamestown arrested Kurt Meekins, 53, of Bemus Point, for aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Meekins was pulled over for driving north in the southbound lane on Dutch Hollow Road and placed under arrest after failing several SFSTs. Meekins was transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .18. Meekins was then processed, issued tickets and released. Meekins is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellery Court on a later date.

≤ JAMESTOWN — On Dec. 29, 2019, Selena Garcia-Gonzalez, 20, of Dunkirk was arrested for alleged third-degree falsely reporting an incident.

Garcia-Gonzales reported an incident to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators later determined the incident did not occur. Garcia-Gonzales was issued an appearance ticket. She is to answer the charge in Jamestown City Court on a late date.
