Westfield man charged in criminal contempt

WESTFIELD — A man who was not allowed in a village residence due to a previous domestic dispute has been charged after an investigation.

On Saturday, members of the county Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division were assisting the U.S. Postal inspectors office at 7 Chestnut St.

Upon arrival it was observed that Marc C. Brooker, 57, of that address was in the residence with a female who had a valid order of protection against him. Brooker was issued appearance ticket with second-degree criminal contempt and is to appear in village of Westfield court later this month.

Dunkirk woman charged after Pomfret altercation

An alleged altercation at a town of Pomfret residence Tuesday evening has led to charges.

chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies responded an incident around 8:15 p.m. Following an investigation into the incident, deputies charged Maria K. Sams, 26, of Dunkirk, with fourth-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.

Sams was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for the Centralized Arraignment Program.

¯ NORTH HARMONY — On Feb. 2, Robin Swanson, 39, of Falconer was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, speed not reasonable and moving from lane unsafely.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 86. Following an investigation into the crash, Swanson was arrested for alleged drunk driving. She will answer to the charges in North Harmony Town Court.

¯ On Feb. 6, Robert B. Nothdurft, 42, of Dunkirk was charged with driving while intoxicated and DWI per se.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at a business on Route 60 in Dunkirk. Following an investigation into the incident, Deputies arrested and charged Nothdurft for alleged drunk driving. He will answer his charges in Dunkirk Town Court.

¯ MINA — On Feb. 8, Alvin S. Troyer, 21, of Clymer was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and operating with less than two working headlights.

Sheriff’s deputies observed a vehicle to be operating with less than two working headlights on Rt 430. Following an investigation into the incident, Deputies arrested and charged Troyer for alleged drunk driving. He will answer his charges in Mina Town Court.

¯ On Feb. 8, Thomas K. Cotter, 36, of Buffalo was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and operating with less than two working headlights.

Sheriff’s deputies observed a vehicle to be operating with less than two working headlights on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. Following an investigation into the incident, deputies arrested and charged Cotter for alleged drunk driving. He will answer his charges in Pomfret Town Court.

¯ SILVER CREEK — On Monday, an unnamed female was charged with third-degree criminal mischief.

Deputies responded to a report of a disorderly female. Following an investigation into the incident, deputies arrested a 19 year old woman. She was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear at the village of Silver Creek court at a later date.
