Gowanda Police Department

¯ On Feb. 12, Brent O. Thompson, 38 was arrested for alleged stop sign violation, reckless operation, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and warrant arrest.

Thompson was operating a vehicle that was stopped by patrol for a stop sign violation where he sped through a stop sign in a reckless manner. During the traffic stop, he was found to be in possession of in excess of 500 milligrams of suspected cocaine. A DMV computer check revealed that his license was suspended in March of 2019 for his failure to answer a traffic summons in the town of Brant court. The computer check further revealed an active warrant for his arrest for the Erie County Sheriff’s Department.

Thompson was arrested and then released on an appearance ticket to appear in the town of Collins court and he was then turned over to the Erie County Sheriff’s Department to process their warrant.

Lakewood-Busti Police Department

¯ On Feb. 22, Victoria E. Busch, 30 and Theresa Kennedy, 36, of Gowanda were arrested for alleged petit larceny.

Busch and Kennedy were observed concealing items in the Lakewood Walmart by Walmart Asset Protection. After concealing the items, they passed all points of sale without paying. Walmart Asset Protection then contacted the LBPD who responded to the location. They were taken into custody and charged. They were both released with an appearance ticket and is to appear in the town of Busti court on a later date.

Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office

¯ JAMESTOWN — On Feb. 24, Bryan R. Carroll, 31, was arrested on a bench warrant for failing to register as a sex offender and failing to appear in court for his arraignment.

Carrol was arrested and taken directly ot the Cattaraugus County Jail where he will be arraigned at a later time in county court.
