≤ RIPLEY — On Feb. 21, David J Gibbens, 40, of North East, Pa. was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and speed in zone in excess of 55 mph.

At approximately 11:42 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle for an alleged traffic violation. Subsequent investigation found that the operator of the vehicle, David J. Gibbens was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Gibbens was taken into custody and charged. Gibbens was released and will answer to the charges in the Town of Ripley Court at a later date.

≤ MINA — On Feb. 22, Jesse M. Kovitch, 25, of Chautauqua was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxication, aggravated DWI, blood alcohol content .18% or greater, moving from lane unsafely, and unregistered motor vehicle.

At about 1:58 a.m., deputies responded to a vehicle complaint on Interstate 86. Deputies located the involved vehicle and identified the operator. Following an investigation into the incident, Deputies arrested and charged Kovitch, he will further answer his charges in Mina Town Court.

≤ KIANTONE — On Feb. 23, Justin E. Carlson, 36, of Warren, Pa. was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08% or greater, and failure to use hazard lights.

At about 3:15 a.m., Sheriff’s Deputies checked a vehicle parked on the shoulder of Kiantone Road. Deputies made contact with the operator who was identified. Carlson was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated. After processing, Carlson was released with traffic tickets. Justin Carlson will appear in Town of Kiantone Court at a later date.
