Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office

COLD SPRING — On April 15, Mary Waechter, 61, of Gerry was arrested for alleged second-degree criminal contempt.

At about 1 p.m., deputies responded to Railroad Avenue for a domestic dispute between Waechter and another person. After a brief investigation, it was found there was a valid order of protection against Waechter. She was arrested, processed and arraigned in the town of Cold Spring court, where she was released on her own recognizance and is to appear at a later date.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

HARMONY — On April 27, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Fire Investigation Team responded to a Blockville Watts Flats Road residence for a reported fire. At approximately 8 p.m., the fire was reported within the residence by a passerby. Investigators determined the fire occurred in the area of an indoor wood stove that was left unattended. No injuries were reported.

Dunkirk Police Department

¯ On April 17, Alexis Morales-Cruz, 32, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree menacing.

¯ On April 17, Edwin C. Wilson, 42, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and inadequate wipers.

¯ On April 21, Melina A. Kellogg, 33, of Fredonia was charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespass.
