On May 1, troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Brennen Rivera, 23, of Fredonia, for second-degree criminal contempt.

The troopers pulled over a vehicle on Route 60 because the heat shield was dragging on the pavement. Investigation revealed that there was an order of protection directing the passenger, Rivera, to stay away from the driver. Rivera was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed. Rivera was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of Gerry Court next month.
