≤ FALCONER — On May 14, troopers out of State Police in Jamestown charged James Johnson, 50, of Jamestown with second-degree forgery, second-degree offering a false instrument for filing and false personation; and Kenneth Drake, 42, of Ashville, for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Troopers responded to Hartson Road for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. It is alleged Johnson initially provided the troopers with the identity of a deceased individual and signed the deceased’s name to a statement identifying the driver (Drake) of the disabled vehicle. Upon properly identifying Johnson, he was placed under arrest, transported to State Police in Jamestown and processed.

Johnson issued appearance tickets for the town of Poland Court and turned over to the Lakewood/Busti Police Department for two outstanding warrants.

Drake was issued tickets for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, using a vehicle without an interlock device, and failure to keep right. Drake is scheduled to appear in the town of Poland Court next month.
