POMFRET — A Fredonia resident is facing charges after intentionally damaging the property of another person.

At around 6:17 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an altercation on Chautauqua Road in the town of Pomfret. An investigation found that during the altercation, property was damaged. Joseph M. Crooks, 30, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief.

Crooks was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Program.

CLYMER — Two Corry residents are facing drug charges after being stopped on Route 76 Saturday afternoon.

At about 5:30 p.m., Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle in the town for a traffic violation. The operator was identified as Timothy A. Pressley, 39, of Corry. Investigation revealed that Pressley was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana.

A passenger in the vehicle, Mystic C. Olinger, 26, of Corry, was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of marijuana. They were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in the Town of Clymer court at a later date.

KIANTONE — A 68-year-old town resident was transported by helicopter for apparent non-life threatening injuries after his motorcycle was rear-ended by another vehicle.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies report that at about 7:33 p.m. Friday they responded to Kiantone Road. After an investigation, it was found that Amy L. Mahaffey, 34, of Russell, Pa., was operating her vehicle southbound when she came upon James L. Magee who was operating his motorcycle southbound as well.

It was found that Mahaffey rear ended Magee, which caused Magee to crash his motorcycle.

Magee was transported from the scene via helicopter for apparent non-life threatening injuries. Mahaffey was also transported from the scene for non-life threatening injuries.

She was issued a traffic ticket and will be in the Town of Kiantone Court at a later date.
