Man charged, wife sought in Silver Creek meth operation

SILVER CREEK — A village resident is facing charges after long investigation conducted by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force into a methamphetamine lab being run out of his home.

Early Thursday morning, a search warrant, as well as an arrest warrant, was acted upon 21 Hickory St. village. Sean O’Connor, 45, one of the subjects of the investigation, was taken into custody without incident by members of the Chautauqua County SWAT Team after they made entry into O’Connor’s residence.

After the residence was cleared by the SWAT Team members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, accompanied by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, conducted a brief search and discovered the presence of methamphetamine labs and other materials used to create said labs. The New York State Police CCSERT unit was called in to clear the labs and materials away from the residence.

The Silver Creek Code enforcement officer was called upon and came to the scene. He determined the residence to be inhabitable and condemned the house. The village of Silver Creek DPW came and boarded up the house and placed the condemned order on the residence.

O’Connor was charged with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and unlawful disposal of methamphetamine laboratory material. He was taken on the arrest warrant to the Chautauqua County Jail where he was arraigned utilizing the centralized arraignment program for the previously listed charges.

An outstanding warrant of arrest for Jennifer O’Connor is presently active also for the above listed charges. She wasn’t present at the residence at the time of the execution of the search warrant. The investigation is ongoing.
